No, it cannot be washed in the dishwasher. On the information card that comes with it, it states that it should only be washed by hand!
I filled mine with tea bags and boiling water, then opened it 15 hours later to find it still warm. As in, it's just cool enough to drink without getting burned. This is an incredible bottle. (It's also worth noting that the instructions state unequivocally that only the insulated lid (not the straw lid) should be used with hot liquids.)
"We recommend cleaning your Hydro Cell with warm soapy water and a bottle brush," according to the Hydro Cell website. Warm soapy water is recommended for cleaning your Hydro Cell accessories. Dishwashers can cause accessories to deteriorate over time, rendering them unusable."

Because of the language in Hydro Cell's Amazon ad, I assumed my new 22 oz flask would include a straw cap in addition to the full cover. However, this was not the case, and when I contacted Hydro Cell about it, they immediately assured me that a straw (Sports) cap would be sent out today (and I mean five seconds after I went to their website and posted my concern). I was so taken aback by their customer service as well as their beautiful and functional product that not giving them five stars would have been a huge mistake. Dean was the person with whom I spoke, and he was pleasant and professional. I'll definitely be returning to Hydro Cell for more flasks.
I drink 1 to 2 gallons of water per day, so the water bottle I use is extremely important to me. Using my plastic Nalgene bottle had been giving me the creeps. According to a variety of sources, even if the plastic is BPA-free, it is still harmful. Despite the fact that it is free, it still has an impact on water quality and releases harmful plastic byproducts into the environment. I switched to a hydro cell and am much happier knowing that the stainless steel interior won't contaminate my water. I filled my bottle with ice water before a round of golf the other day, left it in my car in an 85-degree, sunny day, and returned 5 hours later to water that was still refreshingly cold. I did it again while exercising for an hour, and none of the ice melted (see photos attached). So far, I'm very pleased with this bottle, and I've recommended it to my family, who have all purchased one. Try it out if you haven't already. It's an investment that pays off!.
) This water bottle has made my life so much easier. I carry it around with me wherever I go (I try to stay hydrated throughout the day). In the morning, I fill it with cold water and add ice; it always stays cold for at least 24 hours, and the ice melts slowly. And when it comes to condensation, well, there isn't any. Regardless of how much cold water I have inside, it always stays dry. br>The sport cap is also very useful. When you open it, you'll find a straw inside. It also doesn't leak much, which is incredible. I put the bottle on its side for 30 minutes to see how it would react. There was no water coming out. So when I'm in a hurry, I don't have to worry about throwing it in my bag. I don't use the stainless steel cap very often, but the few times I did, it didn't cause me any problems. br>As long as you use the right detergent, washing is a breeze.
We were only able to suck up air after the lid/straw combination failed after two weeks. We asked for a replacement and were given a new water bottle with the same problem. There isn't a way to get in touch with this seller. And I'm tired of wasting my time printing return labels and having to send the bottle back to UPS. I won't be purchasing another of these. It was a complete waste of both time and money.
I filled one with an already iced drink and added more ice. br>After two and a half hours, there was no ice. br>I was using the metal lid at the time. It's the lid that's causing the issue. It's a cold bleed. The bottle is temperature neutral when touched, but the lid is extremely cold. The cold is escaping from the bottle at this point. br>I returned mine because I was dissatisfied with it.
This water bottle is one of my favorites. It travels with me wherever I go - I'm never far from a glass of icy water. The water stays cold for at least 36 hours when filled to the brim with ice and then filled with water; the ice melts at a rate of about 1/3 every 12 hours in the 40 oz bottle. I don't use the steel lid very often, but it has served me well the few times I have. br>br>The sports lid with the flip-up straw is fantastic! It is not prone to leaking. When I first got the bottle, I put it to the test by filling it with ice and water and leaving it next to me on my bed for an hour. Condensation formed on the sport lid because it is not as well insulated as the steel lid. However, there was no sign of a leak in the bottle. Of course, this was done with the straw closed. In most cases, the bottle will not leak even if the straw is open and the bottle tips. This is due to the fact that the water will block the air hole, preventing the water from leaking out of the straw. The 40oz bottle's only drawback is that it won't fit in my Chevy Malibu or my Veracruz's cup holders. I, on the other hand, simply placed the bottle in the passenger seat. After my 40-minute commute, a small amount of condensation may form on the lid, but I also live in a humidified area. Humidity of 80% % I was willing to take the chance that the bottle wouldn't fit in the cupholder - For the 40 oz capacity, it's well worth it. If necessary, it can be placed directly on top of the cup holder/center console. br>br>I bought 18oz bottles for each of my children to carry around. One of my sons won't drink water unless it's VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY Other cups he'd use would only keep the water cold for about 3 hours, despite the fact that he's 5 and drinks water all day. He enjoys the fact that he can have ice water all day long without having to wait for me to add ice. The 18 oz and another 22 oz bottles I bought fit perfectly in the cup holders and are easier to handle for the kids. br>br>We bought five of these in total - 40 ounces, three 18 ounces, and one 22 ounces I am overjoyed. every penny was well spent; I really like the bottle's finish. br>br>I suggest using a silicon sleeve. It will aid in the prevention of drops, which have yet to occur. However, they will bounce around if three children are carrying them.
