Questions & Answers
I rummaged through the bottle's contents - China is where it's made.
It has a diameter that is similar to, or slightly larger than, a 12 oz. soda can. If that's the case, you're ready to go!
It'll be fine because the majority of what I put in my 40 oz. Seltzer water, a soda with a pH of around 2, is in the bottle. 5 (I'm not a chemist, but I do know a little about pH levels), which is close to lemon juice and lower than lemon flavored water (I'm not a chemist, but I do know a little about pH levels). The person who said it wouldn't work has either had a bad experience with a bad product, is misinformed, or has no idea what they're talking about. Coffee, despite being less acidic, is still on the acidic side of the pH scale and is never questioned. Lemon flavoring in water has a pH similar to that of coffee rather than soda. You're all set to go!

We ordered this as a replacement for a Takeya bottle that we already had. oz First, the logo design on this 18oz is different from the bottle pictured and from the bottles on the Takeya website; second, it had no insulation, so the bottle became ice cold to the touch and did not stay cold; third, it had no insulation, so the bottle became ice cold to the touch and did not stay cold; we did not put hot water in it, but I imagine the bottle would have been too hot to hold. We ordered one from the Takeya website just to make sure, and it does indeed insulate; the bottle is not cold to the touch, as it should be with double wall insulation. Also, on the side, it has the correct logo; we could have gotten a lemon, but the different logo tipped me off. Buyer beware when purchasing this bottle.
Many reviewers here with a poor understanding of science are perpetuating several myths. First and foremost, I would like to state that I own both this Takeya 40 oz thermos flask and a 40 oz Hydro Flask. These are similar products in terms of build quality and performance in terms of keeping liquids cool and tasty. In fact, the small mouth cap on this is better built than the cap that comes standard with the hydroflask. This is worth an additional $7 to $10 on its own. You'll appreciate drinking from this cap a lot more if you have a smaller mouth, believe me. br>br>Now it's time to disprove the bogus tests that have been appearing in reviews. Of course, if you put 5 cubes of ice in a 40 oz container, seal it, and check on the ice after 12 hours, it will have melted. Why? Because you stuffed nearly 40 ounces of room temperature air into the container where the ice has now equilibrated. If you FILL the container with ice or ice water and check it 12 hours later, the temperature and structure inside the flask will be closer to what it would be if you only partially filled it. Because hydroflask has 30% more steel and is 5oz heavier (17oz to 12oz) as a result, the performance level is almost identical to the hydro flask brand but a little The second thing that drives me crazy is that putting your flask in the fridge and discovering that the ice you left inside melted the next day is not a technological failure, but rather a SUCCESS. The inside environment was so well sealed from the outside coolness of the fridge that the ice equilibrated to melt if you sealed room temperature air and some ice into the container, then placed it in the fridge. Thermoses are not meant to "enhance" the cooling effect of a fridge. A thermos will only slow down the rate at which the outside environment and the inside environment reach temperature equilibrium. br>br>In conclusion, if you want your thermo flask or hydro flask to perform at its best in terms of cooling retention, FILL it with cold or iced fluid first thing in the morning. When we understand how to use technology, it makes our lives much easier. br>br>One of the best values I've found for this type of product is the Takeya Thermo Flask, which has a small mouth spout that opens and closes with a single turn of the top.
This bottle of water is fantastic. I included a photo of the 40oz next to the 32oz to compare sizes because I was curious when I purchased them. The 40oz is only a few millimeters taller and barely wider.
My water stays ice cold ALL DAY, ERR DAY! YEAHHHH.
As I sit on the beach in the summer, trying to melt the remaining ice in my takeya bottle, I feel compelled to write this review. We've reached the third hour, and it's already hot. It's incredible that there's still ice in this thing. This is an amazing bottle. Buy it.
WARNING: THIS IS AN EXTREMELY SENSITIVE SUB Don't be surprised if you find yourself robbed! IMPROVISATION! This is NOT a good product! br>br> I don't get it because it appears and feels that way. However, it does not keep liquids cold for an extended period of time. I had the impression that ice was melting quickly, but I assumed I was hallucinating. I then put it to the test with a $9 cup-style stainless steel mug with a slightly open plastic lid and straw from a discount store. This is in the morning. Despite the fact that this Takeya Vaccum sealed bottle had no ice, my $9 mug still had plenty. It was extremely chilly. What a DISAPPOINTMENT, especially since this bottle cost $30 BUCKS!.
This was a fantastic experience for me. I didn't realize I was drinking mold until it was too late. I put water it in 95% of the time I put it in of the time I put water it% I use hydration powder on occasion. I washed it on a regular basis.
This would be poor quality control on Amazon's part, but Takeya's quality is even worse because the bottle LEAKS LIKE A SIV. I finally decided on the THERMOFLASK, which comes with a lifetime warranty, but I doubt I'll ever use it. Don't take a chance on a cheap bottle to save a few bucks. There's a reason why old cliches have survived the test of time. "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!" says the narrator.
