Questions & Answers
Stable to the extreme. We have frieze carpet, and I can tumble around on it (despite the fact that I'm heavier than most gymnasts). The only movement is a very slight downward bow at the hinge.
My 8-year-old daughter performs all of the tasks listed on this beam. On flat/hard surfaces, it's extremely durable, and on carpet, it's only moderately durable. On the bottom, there is a non-slip surface.
There haven't been any problems with anything getting bent.
It is, without a doubt.

It's not quite the same as an official beam, but it's very close. So far, it's proven to be quite durable. Because there was no stated weight limit, several of us adults gave it a try, and it has so far held up to a 155 pound person. adult performing a variety of leaps This is the folding beam you've been searching for. It's worth noting that our box was severely damaged during shipping, and the fabric on the beam had one small 1cm rub mark. Although it has no bearing on the beam's performance, I thought I'd mention it because I'm a perfectionist. If there are any durability issues, I will update this review, but we are very pleased with this beam so far!.
She adores it because she is a big gymnastics fan. Every day, she practices on this beam for an hour or more. I was concerned that it would be too heavy for her (she is small for her age), but she can fold it up. She can easily transport it to the location where she wants to use it. This beam was chosen because it is competition length, folds in half for easy storage in a closet, and is available in a variety of colors. It has a wooden core, which is the most similar to the regular high beam she uses in the gym for gymnastics training. This balance beam was without a doubt her favorite Christmas present!.
This beam is perfect for practicing at home for me as a competitive gymnast! Because of the folding, it's also easy to transport, so I use it at the YMCA on the basketball gym floor. The beam is incredibly strong - br>br> Almost identical to a competition beam (slightly squishier, but not by much). I appreciate that it is made of wood rather than foam, as most other floor beams I've encountered have been. br>br>In terms of firmness and construction quality, this far exceeded my expectations. This beam stands up for training aerials, tucks, back handsprings, turns, jumps, etc. Would 100% recommend for advanced or beginner gymnasts! Would 100% recommend for.
Ours had a slight upward bend on one end, as had been mentioned by someone else. It was impossible to straighten it. You might not want it if your child is a real gymnast for that reason. My kid isn't a gymnast by any stretch of the imagination. I just wanted to have fun with it, so I ordered it. She seems pleased with it, so I'll give it a B-.
It appears to do its job, aside from being bent half-way down one side. My daughter's practice was a little disrupted by the bend, but not enough to warrant returning it and getting another. It was less expensive than some of the other options.
Given the wood, this appears to be much more durable than foam beams that I've tried. Long-term planning is something I can't (yet) comment on. I'm not sure about the long-term viability, but so far I'm happy. It is stable enough for someone weighing 100 pounds to perform leaps, jumps (including series), and cartwheels/handstands on it. For turns, the feel differs slightly from that of a standard beam.
My nine-year-old daughter was selected for the gymnastics team, so we purchased this for her to use at home. She can easily fold it and store it under her bed. It's very sturdy, and unlike the foam/mat beams, it doesn't sink in. It was a wonderful present for my birthday!.
This was purchased for my 6-year-old son, who is a member of the team. The quality is excellent, and it is extremely durable. My husband and I (neither of us are small people) can both stand on it without squishing. The layers of wood are extremely beneficial. This purchase has made me extremely happy. The money was well spent.
