Hello there, the 3500 does not have a wind direction indicator. You'll need the 5500, which has a compass, to figure out which way the wind is blowing.

Because air pressure can fluctuate due to varying air masses rather than changes in elevation, you may need to consult a topographic map or Google Earth to manually enter your current location's elevation. If you purchase this device, you may notice that the impeller appears to be unbalanced; however, referring to the manual will reveal that it is not unbalanced, but rather reacting to the Earth's magnetic field. Because the impeller is slowed and accelerated in an oscillating pattern, the magnetic forces are canceled out once it begins to rotate. br>br>The only issue I have with it so far is that you have to cycle through all of the different variables one at a time, which is a minor inconvenience that can be mitigated by memorizing the variable cycle order and cycling through them quickly.
