My name is Johnson as well. Flows through the block without being threaded. Once you remove a head screw, you'll see that it's a ring-type fitting. Just attach it to the head bolt and tighten it up again

I love how it works! In lieu of a temperature alarm that had broken on an old outboard, I am using this instead

It works perfectly and I love being able to keep track of engine temperature instead of having to wait for an alarm once it gets.

It is a great product. To read the temperature of a motor, you can use this device directly. Except for wire and labor, everything you need is included. As long as there is a need to monitor temperature, I am sure that it will work.
