This is a new speedometer that I installed on my boat to replace the A speed of 15 to 25 mph is the ideal speed for skiers, tubers and hydrofoilers. Ideally, I am looking for a more accurate speedometer than the old one, and also for a GPS that is more reactive. As I compared my Garmin GPS's speed accuracy with the accuracy of my GPS, they were in harmony. I would like to add a couple of points 1. 1.
. It can take up to 120 seconds to acquire the signal on the first power up. On the second power up, the device only takes 10 to 20 seconds to acquire a signal. Response time is a little slow, but good enough for what I need
4. There is sometimes a lag of about 0 seconds between the speed drop and the actual speed drop. In between 5 and 1 seconds.
Before installing this speedo in my boat, I took it for a test drive in my truck. It took a little longer than expected for the reporting to start, but after that it was perfect. For the past couple of months I have been using this in my boat and it has always worked beautifully.
When other options are hundreds of dollars, this is a good alternative. red backlight makes the system look cool and it works well. It is not uncommon for your engine to go offline when you cycle the key to crank it depending on how ready it is to start.
The program works well, is accurate, and responds pretty quickly. If the direction also had degrees, I would prefer to have it along the NW S axis.
I didn't have any problems installing this add-on, and she loves it.
You might need to be familiar with electricity to get it to work. It doesn't look like the instructions are very clear. A couple of years ago, I installed the device on my RZR170 so I could tell my kids what the speed limit was. To the headlights, I hooked them up.
This is a GPS speedometer and due to the way it works, it is a little slow to register the speed but it still works splendidly.
The vacuum speedo costs a few dollars more than the stock unit. I was able to get there on time. It's a nice feature to have the digital compass as well. This gauge matches other gauges with red backlight.
