I was satisfied with the performance of this insert. The posts that came with my Ranger boat were springfield style. A casting seat with a stand-up stance is preferred by my fishing partner, and I had an older Swivl-style casting seat before A Zeze post that I no longer needed, except that it had a 3/4" threaded post, which is not compatible with a springfield style post. It's on my rear casting deck, so I bought it and installed it. I like it! It just needed a little grease and a tap with a rubber mallet to get it going. This is the perfect.
