In general, I'm pleased. The only criticism I have is that they have a large footprint (they take up a lot of room on my rack rails, so I'll have to extend the railing on my trailer to fit them (two kayaks mounted side by side). I haven't used them yet, but they appear to be well-made and should meet my needs once installed.
The system works well, but the bolts that hold it together are far too long. They reach the roof of my Honda CRV even when it is empty. They would have scratched or punched through my roof if I had put any weight on them. To replace them, I had to go out and spend $15 on new bolts.
It securely fastens my kayak to my car.
For canoeing and kayaking, this is exactly what I needed.
Canoe is 12 feet long and has a secure feel.
