It costs $79 for the most recent version. According to the McAfee website, the price for this version is $99, but I'm guessing it'll be closer to $20-$30. $30. I hope this information is useful.
I'm running Windows 8 and using LiveSafe. 1 on a Dell Inspiron desktop with an Intel i5 3330 processor (3. 00 GHz) processor, as well as an 8. There is a total of 00 GB of RAM available. I'm running a 64-bit operating system. Type of system in bits. I'm not sure, but I believe I was using LiveSafe prior to upgrading this machine from Windows 8 to Windows 10. 0 to 8. 1 (in case it makes a difference). I hope you find this information useful. Sorry, but it is only compatible with Windows phones. Thanks

I couldn't access any of the websites I tried after installing McAfee LiveSafe. A message would appear informing me that the site was unsafe. If I clicked the "x" box in the warning's corner to exit, I could then return to the site by clicking it again. Even when I was on a website, the same thing happened when I tried to go to another page. It wouldn't even let me navigate McAfee's own website, claiming that all of the links were untrustworthy. I was able to locate a chat page and connect with a McAfee technician after an hour. It has now been disabled as a result of his efforts, and as such is a completely useless feature. Before turning it off, he told me that if I typed in the URL of every website I wanted to visit, it would be unblocked. Huh! Thank you, but no! If the problem cannot be resolved, I will install Norton and consider this a costly lesson.
McAfee LiveSafe is a security software program developed by McAfee. Installation was difficult, particularly on the second computer (laptop), and impossible on the Kindle Fire HDX. Instructions that are simple and easy to follow should be required. It was also difficult to get technical support because I don't speak English well and have a heavy Indian accent. I was able to get technical help via chat for the first time - Even so, it took nearly 45 minutes to complete. Only for use on a laptop I'm not sure I'll try to download it again. I'm going to put it on my Kindle.
However, it does cause the PC to slow down. I bought McAfee LiveSafe to replace ESET Smart Security because it was time for a new subscription and I needed to protect six PCs, so LiveSafe was a much better deal. As an added bonus, it works on my LG G2 as well as a variety of other devices. Although the installation software could not uninstall ESET on its own, it was simple to install on both PCs and Android phones. br>br>We only use the antivirus and firewall features, and we use Windows Family Safety to keep an eye on the kids. Not because it's better or worse (I have no idea), but because we'd already been using Windows. I already had LastPass, but I believe LiveSafe includes a similar service called SafeKey as part of the package. I'm not sure if LasPass/SafeKey is the best password manager, but it's convenient and works well on both Android and Windows computers. br>br>Because we are responsible with our PC usage, the computers were and are clean, but LiveSafe takes care of anything suspicious that enters. It does take a little longer for PCs to boot up than ESET did; The startup is slower, Internet browsing can be choppy at times, and I had to turn off the'real-time' feature. 'Time' watchdog has been turned off a few times because it was interfering with the proper operation of some (trusted) websites. Outlook takes a long time to load, but it doesn't appear to be any slower than before when downloading new emails. br>br>LiveSafe isn't as unobtrusive as I'd like it to be, but it does provide unlimited protection for all of your web-enabled devices for 46 dollars. It's difficult to beat 99 right now (3/6/14) (wow, I paid 59). On the 5th of January, 2014, he had a score of 99. I'd probably stick with ESET if I didn't have so many devices to secure.
I can't seem to get a hold of anyone from McAfee to talk to about it. I'm sorry for purchasing it.
What I got in my package was a "retail card," as they call it. The card contains a code that allows McAfee LiveSafe to be downloaded. The download went through without a hitch, but the installation process failed with an "error 0" message. I contacted customer service, and they quickly resolved the issue. My issue stemmed from the fact that I already had a McAfee LiveSafe subscription and was attempting to renew it for the following year with this purchase. Redeeming the "retail card" had already updated my McAfee account with a year's subscription, so I didn't have to do the install part. If the instructions had addressed the issue of renewal, I would have given it five stars. Kerwin, John.
Amazon stated that McAfee LiveSafe was on CD media, but it was not, and the order took nearly three weeks to arrive. I returned the item because I didn't want to have to download it. I'm not giving it any stars because I didn't get to try it out, and Amazon should keep track of what they print.
I deducted a star because I use a Nokia 521 Windows phone, which McAfee does not protect. The entire point of purchasing this level of McAfee was to protect not only my computer but also my smartphone.
It's great that it's compatible with all of your gadgets. That means Macs, Windows laptops, iPhones, iPads, Android tablets, and phones for my family. The disadvantage is that the phones' batteries are depleted. br>br>.
