Questions & Answers

Are there any Windows 7 versions that work with this app?

I believe so. Then I have what I need.

A microphone of what kind is required?

As far as I could tell, my laptop had the best internal microphone.

Is it possible to learn how to sing the right note from this? I suppose I should sing a B-flat if I need to Will I be able to do it if I have flat on cue?

I think maybe. It shows you whether you are on pitch, sharp or flat when you sing in the software. There are no exercises with notes I can recall

I am very satisfied with this product
4/5

Those who are interested in learning to sing will find Singing for Dummies to be a great resource. gave it four stars since I didn't waste the time and money of a paid instructor. Once you realize that your singing isn't singing, you haven't wasted the time and money of a paid instructor. A musical example would be that I’ve always loved to sing, but I’ve never had the opportunity. The last month I bought Singing for Dummies and I have been trying to perfect my vocal pitch ever since. Despite this, my son is already singing songs provided by the software and he is already a member of the advanced vocal skills section already. Whenever I play my guitar, I'll let the tunes sing for me. Furthermore, I like the fact that the software is compatible with both Mac (Montana Lion) and PC (Windows 7) computers. The product would be useful to anyone who feels they are called to the art of song. As much as I might enjoy singing, if you find that a friend or a relative of yours has discovered through Singing For Dummies that they are naturals at singing, its okay because Singing For Dummies makes learning to sing fun.

I really like the basic information you provided
5/5

It’s almost embarrassing for me to read the title because I always thought the "Dummies" books were a joke. The CD book is not a joke, and the text is written by a professional teacher in a basic, yet clearly understandable manner. A video example is provided that is excellent. A cool feature is that you can choose the kind of voice the audio examples use, such as male or female voices, low or high. This gives the whole thing an air of personalization. A great deal of anatomy is shown in the basic drawing, including breathing techniques and tongue placement for achieving good vowel sounds. When doing a home study, you should have a good basic You've done a wonderful job! In the first portion of the lesson, there is an opportunity to use a microphone to show if you can copy the notes that are This is a really Although I found that my internal microphone not sufficient to cover all the noise, I bought an exterior microphone instead. Although the purchase was expensive, it was worth it.

It's all about dumbing it down
5/5

This is the basics that do not need to be explained in-depth to everyone before moving on to more complicated training courses. If you buy something more advanced or do an internet search for 'free' lessons, this problem can be easily handled. A FOUNDATIONAL principle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO.

For the price, it was a little disappointing. The end came so quickly that at first I thought it must have been It's not enough to know just one song.

For beginners, this is a decent program
4/5

As a beginner singer, I used this item as a supplement to my teacher-guided vocal instruction. The software is very user-friendly and I recommend it to beginners. Using the breathing exercises can be very useful, and they are easy to do. When I was practicing alone, I found the pitch matching exercise really helpful since I am not a pianist. The instructor obviously has classical opera training, so her voice is rather operatic, but you can also sing with just the piano. The metronome tool is also very useful when practicing alone. With the interactive features, you can customize a variety of settings. This software is very user-friendly, and I noticed a difference in my singing rather quickly after using it several times a week. The notes in some of the songs were a little high for me since I'm an alto. Voices are pretty much separated into soprano/alto and tenor/bass by the software.

I think it's worth the effort
5/5

Enter an active DVD where you get feedback on your range and pitch in order to know if you hit a note. Do you ever feel that when you ask for help you may be treated as if you are fishing for compliments or as if you are showing or I don't like your singing style. You should not worry about what they say - just be yourself and go with your ranges and voice. Rather than paying for lessons, you can get them for free.
