Although it can be displayed at any time and it shows a left handed view of each chord from that position, it displays the fretboard at any time. Music is something I enjoy however, guitar or a similar stringed instrument is not one of them. It took me less than half an hour to tune my new guitar, learn some chords, and play a few songs, all with the assistance of this software. My computer is a Windows 7 machine, and I did not experience any problems. It seems to be a very clear instruction from what I have read in the first two chapters. Some have complained about the instructor's song selection and his singing being unappealing. The selection is a reasonably mixed one with a few generic songs. The key to success is to continue the lessons and to practice. It's not as if the instructor's singing is inspiring - he's just in tune, if not great.
