There are no templates on this CD for basic essentials like a schedule and work breakdown structure. The following are some essential templates that I would use and a number of useless templates that I would never use A HIDDEN section on the CD requires that you create an account in order to access items such as "Benefit Profile" "Highlight Report" "Product Services List" and "Project Mandate. ". In order to gain access I did not download any spyware, so I cannot comment on the content hidden within.
We were very pleased with the purchase because it met our needs perfectly.
Despite spending a lot of money, it was wasted.
A few Excel files have been added for basic use. It's been a long time since I've read a description or a review, and I must have missed it, because these templates are mostly in Word - a couple are in Excel too. As I read via the description that Project Management was part of it, I thought maybe it had something to do with Microsoft Project, or similar program - * Note that most of the templates you will receive come in Word format, though there are a few in Excel as well. Possibly useful for someone just starting out in Project Management, but I was hoping to see some project management templates so I could get a better idea of what Microsoft Project is all about. Also, be aware that it does not follow the PMBOK guide, and it is mostly free. Project management in the style of Lance - not bad, but not what I was expecting for the price.
My copy of Project Management Essentials, written by James Leal, just arrived. Comprehensive Guides, Strategy Processes & Case Studies are all included upon obtaining the CD ROM Normally, these would be plans, documents, reports, forms, and registers. It was precisely what I requested to have a job aid about PM that covered all aspects, from depth to breadth. James Leal, thanks for your comment.
It is not worth it.
I was able to easily install it on my computer. However, it is true that I am an IT person, but I have an MBA and I strive to achieve PMP certification. There are no words to describe how amazing this CD is. I had no problems installing it on my personal computer. The disc loaded and the information could be viewed without any problem. I was able to choose a different lesson each day from the disc, which contains multiple lessons for me. designed so you can pick it up the next day with a sense of wholeness, since you can stop and pick it up the next day, too. The product was given to me for free in exchange for an honest review, and I would recommend it strongly.
For those of us who work in the area of Project Management, James has provided a set of tools and templates that are easy to follow and use. Having everything in one package will definitely save us lots of time for their design or revamp, since the useful tools can all be found in one place, including the This process is broken down into steps. It is a professional, "tried and true" product that is well-designed and does what it says It is true- My opinion is that this is an out-and-out and valuable document to own. The key to delivering a project successfully is planning properly. As James Leal has stated, "Delivering a project isn't difficult. The hard part is delivering it without initial preparation".
