Selected User Reviews For Microsoft Project Standard 2007 Old Version
MS Project has been the foundation for many projects I have worked on over the last decade. As far as I know, this is the first version that has caused me trouble. Here are the good points I want to start with. Projects are so much easier to visualize when using this tool. My favorite feature is the ability to see the effects of changing one item on other parts of the project, especially when making changes to an existing project. The fact that printing schedules is broken is now bad. You get a really bad impression whenever you change the scale. There is a problem with text being cut off and with the scaling of task bars. Microsoft staff has addressed this issue on the forum, and the consensus seems to be that scaling isn't effective. This is a deal breaker for me. In some pretty complex projects I have also experienced issues when Project changes the constraint types. The problem is easy enough to fix if you notice it, but it is very frustrating. Thankfully, I have not experienced any of these issues while using MS Project 2003. I might be biased, but MS Project 2003 remains my favorite scheduling option. To be honest, I recommend buying Project 2003, at least until they eliminate all of the bugs from this version.
I used this product before I retired from the corporate world and was familiar with the details, so it was difficult to locate. I was not interested in the latest version of the program. Especially if you are retired, Old School can sometimes be a better option.
Planning projects is made easier with this program.
I like it a lot!.
The interface is very intuitive. As a small general contracting firm, we provide commercial construction services. There is nothing we need to change in Project. The pace of work can be measured and tracked. The interface is very intuitive.
You will see from the date of this review (July 21, 10) and the date I placed my order (June 15, 10) that it has been almost a month and I still don't have the product I ordered, the substitute the vendor suggested, or my account credited. It is impossible for me to comment on the product as I have never used My relationship with Express 24/7 has ended. I won't be buying anything from them in the future. My quest to get a refund for the almost $300 hasn't been successful so far. There is a total payment of $00 that I made.
My struggle with MS Project in the 1990s is still fresh in my mind. This version is much better than the previous version that was work intensive, cumbersome, and hard to understand.
This 2007 version is actually useful and takes most of the pain out of coming up with a schedule for a project I'd like to congratulate Microsoft for its excellent work. In order for the program to be fully utilized, it needs to be more integrated with other programs. Excel 2007 is one of the least successful MS products, and it needs work Users can interact with the interface in a similar way Project management does not work very well with this approach. However, in spite of all that, this product can be put to productive use after a 24-hour installation process without any previous Although, to be honest, I do recommend that new users also buy an instructional book to accompany it, for the sake of "Microsoft Project 2007 A Practical Guide" was the book I got. I have been reading 'The Missing Manual' by Bonnie Biafore. This is a Pogue Press and O'Reilly publication. Right out of the gate, helpful. The version I wish I had in 1997 would have been a lot better.
The best performance in 2003 was by Microsoft. Despite my harsh words, I found Microsoft Office 2007 to be a good product A better year than 2003, but not a huge improvement. I bought Projects 2007 when I found out that I had been scammed with bogus software As far as the guy who provided it goes, it worked fine on his machine. ** * * However, this software is somewhat disappointing. There's only one thing that has disappointed me after all the years I have spent developing myself. In the 1990s, I used an application created by Symantec called Gantt Chart Although the nature of the technology industry makes it seem as if MS stole the core software, this is just the way the world works The words "Yo, ho, ho" are spoken in Chinese. For me, pirate life is the only life worth living. There are some reviewers who will claim that the software cannot be used on That's really all that matters to me. You can get Primavara for an extra cost if you want it. This is the software for you if you want Pert charts and Gantt charts, and you want to do it without even looking at it. You should avoid other planning software that you can find on the internet. If you want to use Microsoft Project, go for it. In addition, the other software requires you to pay for additional There was an improvement in this software compared to the previous When I used Projects 2000, it was very cumbersome and hard to use. I should mention that this software really does not have good training materials. It did not impress me as I looked at "Projects for Dummies. " A book on details is something I bought, but I haven't planned on using The Microsoft Projects interface really allows you to get your hands dirty Software is something that you should learn. Buy this software by digging into your wallet. There is no denying that this is an excellent deal, not exactly a great deal but definitely an excellent I hope this review was helpful. If it was, please vote for it. I appreciate you!.
