br>This product is in good condition - I was able to install it without any issues. However, I dislike that it has an automatic renewal feature and that you must enter a credit card number, which is a new step this year. Yes, you are free to cancel at any time, but why do we have to go to all this trouble? br>I'm sure Norton is banking on people forgetting to turn off the auto-renewal feature. br>As soon as I finished downloading the new subscription, I cancelled it. I just paid money for this and now I'm embarrassed. br>I used to be able to go to my site and conduct business; now, all I see is a bunch of wannabees posing as my site. br>I should have known Norton would not change. My computer is crashing all over the place when I try to use it. I've been using Norton for a long time. Auto renewal, on the other hand, irritates me because, in my opinion, it does not offer competitive pricing. I renewed my Norton subscription once in the last four years. I purchase new from Amazon for less than half the price. Yes, you must re-enter your information. however, I was able to save $60 in this case. 00 (USD). Trying to persuade Norton that I would have auto renewed for a lower/more competitive price (rather than a price match with Amazon) is like talking to a brick wall. In addition, their technical support has deteriorated in recent years. Having said that, they do provide a substantial amount of extras. The VPN in particular appeals to me. As with any VPN, you lose a little speed, but it's usually not noticeable. If you're tech-savvy and don't mind spending the time it takes to set up new equipment. Norton is a program I strongly suggest. I just wish they'd stop paying so much for renewals.

It was not loading properly. The technician provided no assistance. He tried to sell me more items by saying I needed to load other things on my computer first. A piece of cardboard that is completely useless.

They told me I had a bad key (they said it was geolocked - I'm not sure if that's true). That meant it was being used in an inappropriate country, as I later learned). Their tech solution was for me to purchase the program again (he offered to 25% of their regular purchase price -) I declined, stating that I would not pay for something I had already purchased). When Norton received the information from my consumer complaint, they paid a little more attention to my concerns. Someone from Norton contacted me with more authority and knowledge (which is how I learned about geolock and its meaning). I tried turning off my VPN based on their email advice, but it didn't work on my desktop. While I couldn't update my account to the new Norton on my desktop, I was eventually able to do so on one of my tablets (30 feet away and connected to the same network). I was able to log in to the account on my desktop and install it after it had been updated. br>br>My computer does not appear to be slowed down by the antivirus. I have yet to receive any hits on the "lifelock" service. br>br>The password manager, on the other hand, is a major pain to use, requiring multiple logins and reentry of passwords in order for it to work. I'm not going to use that service - It's a lot more difficult to use than my current setup. br>br>I would have given the program a 4-star rating if it had initially worked like this. With the exception of the password manager, I gave it a five-star rating. But, because of the lengths I had to go to in order to get genuine support, I deducted another star, which is still a significant improvement over the original one. star.

I despise it, but it was on sale at the time, so I bought it. I only have it for a year, so I guess I'll just deal with it. On the desktop and in the browser, there are a lot of unnecessary features and annoying, unavoidable popups. The VPN seems shady; I don't believe they are a no-log service as they claim. Because I use proactive software, it's difficult to tell how well the antivirus is working. I was just looking through my inbox, f- In my inbox, there's an ing nortion add!.

I made the mistake of assuming that because the description said "includes VPN," it meant that a fully functional VPN product was included. It isn't the case. There is a VPN that can be turned on manually, but tech support says that if I want it to start up automatically, I should do so. Like any other VPN service I've used in the past - I'll have to spend more money and purchase a separate VPN. I'm not expecting a full-fledged modern full-fledged full-fledged full-fledge I have to think about it every day because it is such a prominent security product. I want to put it in a box and forget about it. What comes next? br>br> Will I need a sticky note on my monitor to remind me to scan every web page I visit with Norton? I've only been trying to figure out how this package works for a few days, but I'm not impressed so far.

Norton has become aggressive with Auto-Update, as others have pointed out. (This isn't the most cost-effective solution. ) However, if you are willing (and I am willing), I will install it using PayPal and then mark Norton as NO to autorenewal afterward. I'm going to turn off auto renewal on PayPal just to be safe (since some people have reported Norton auto renewing even when it's clearly marked "NO" in their Norton account). If Norton doesn't let me delete Auto-Delete, I'll have to find another way. I'll switch to another product for renewal, and I won't have to install Norton until October (though I ordered it ahead of time because USPS is experiencing significant delays during this chaotic period). Once I've finished installing it, I'll update this review. Best of luck to me.
