It provides a malware scanner for free and is fantastic. A premium version of the product includes real-time protection so that it is not just scanning periodically to see if there are any changes. It is worth paying for the premium version due to the realtime feature. Earlier this month I realized that I hadn't renewed my subscription for a while, and my wife's system was infected with more than 2000 malware events (I swear I just typed that out correctly). This will be prevented by the real-time protection. It should let you try the premium features for 14 days free if you have never used it.

If you have never used it, I suggest you download the free version from their website. There are several things your other antivirus was missing that many of you will be surprised to learn.

I had to upgrade a computer for my friend who was having a problem with her machine, and I was hoping that it would fix the issue. As I waited for the web page to display, it was a little jerky and I was worried a root worm had crept in. Since I had used Malwarebytes as freeware for quite some time on my own machines, I decided to give it a shot since I had not been able to find an issue with my other antivirus software. Afterwards, it was able to find and clean the root virus, so my friend's new (upgraded) build went smoothly. From that point on, I started paying for Malwarebytes. Other virus software is also running on my computer, but Malwarebytes is always counted as part of.

It's a great piece of software to have since I have not had a computer get engulfed by a virus due to the fact that I have installed it on all my clients' machines and also the commercial version of it works great. Thanks for the great product!.
