After your subscription expires, you will be unable to access your data. Quicken's product information reads as follows: Your data will always be yours and you will have complete control over it. br>br>That is a lie; you can work around the large banner ads that take up the entire screen when you need to renew your membership, but after your membership expires, you will receive a pop-up message. You will receive a message stating that you will be unable to complete that action unless you renew for each and every action you take. Each time you enter a split transaction, you must click through the message at least ten times. That isn't even complete access to your data; it's completely useless.
a year's worth of licenses for modules you don't use Quicken was designed to be an accounting program when it was first released. It had expanded to include groceries, bank accounts, investments, and other services by 2016, but it was still possible to purchase a license indefinitely. Since then, it has continued to overburden accounting with modules covering every facet of life, all of which can be licensed as data by Intuit. A one-year'renewable' annual license is now the only option. gnucash is a command-line program. com - For free, you can do some basic accounting.
I've been attempting to install the new purchased edition and have attempted to contact Quicken twice with no success. They said I had to buy Quicken from them rather than Amazon both times. Even though I have the activation code, I am unable to activate my new program due to poor service.
I couldn't find the Quicken disk, so I purchased a copy on CD. This is the starter version. Right. It differs from the old 2015 program in that it is not as user-friendly. It's friendly, but lacks some of the original's features, and it's incredibly irritating. It's nearly impossible to navigate your way to what you want or arrange your world in the way you want. PLUS. For the privilege of using their software, they charge me $30 a year. AARRGH! I'm on the lookout for a new bookkeeping program!.
If it were possible, I'd give zero stars. The description stated that a CD was included. However, there isn't a CD included. This is for a 501(c)(3) organization that does not have access to the internet. Worthless.
I assumed I was purchasing a checkbook program that would last indefinitely. Instead, a one-year subscription was sent to me.
This banking software is something I'm used to. I dislike the fact that you have to pay for it every year, but this appears to be the norm. It serves me well.
They're working with banks to make sure that banks only keep 90 days' worth of transactions online, so you'll have to use Quicken to get your complete transaction history. What a complete rip-off. Then there's the issue of version and password, which are both horribly broken in bizarre ways. Avoid using this product at all costs.
