Selected User Reviews For QuickBooks Premier Contractor Edition 2007 [OLDER VERSION]
The product looks like it would be wonderful, but it costs you $250+ annually to remain a user of the system. The joke of the century!.
My favorite Quicken product is Quicken. This software is very easy to use and gives me an overview of my financial status. This is a company I highly recommend.
I was so impressed by the ease of using Quicken that when we opened a new contracting business, we went with Contractors claim that this software makes it easy to set up and that it is geared towards contractors. The software meets the first claim to some extent, but after using the software for about 4 weeks I am still waiting for my first transaction to be recorded and would return it if I could.
What we were waiting for (except maybe to give Intuit more time to work out the bugs) is unclear to me. It is very good to have the Contractor's edition of 2007 since it is an upgrade over 2004. I also used 2006, but I find this edition to be superior. Everything you need is on the home screen, which you can customize to your liking instead of having to switch between pages. have a lot of work to do there. It's much more user-friendly that way A friendly person. There was no noticeable difference after the upgrade My predecessors' mess created by previous bookkeepers was so extensive that I ended up inheriting all of it. A little inside help from my brother, who works at Intuit, helped me a lot. (Tracking expenses by project separately in Excel should soon be a thing of the past! I enjoy learning all of the possibilities on how to integrate all of my tasks.
Thanks to Intuit for their great product! And with Amazon's customer service as usual, I had no problem!.
Be sure to read the fine According to its description, this product can be used by up to 5 people. A TRUE statement However, one user can use it at a time for some reason. I guess that part was written in the legalese people don't read. The whole thing cost $350 each, so we had to purchase additional licenses The program cost about the same as the price we paid for it. My feeling was that I got ripped off as I wanted to use in my office where there are three of us who need to use it at the same time, during normal business hours.
This would be a good product for a small business. The systems have some nice features that can help keep a small contractor on top of everything. Learning curve indeed. QuickBooks is one of those profit-driven mega companies that has turned to India and Pakistan for their tech support. People who can barely speak English may be rude and do not follow the rules. Make sure you are prepared to repeat There is little help available from these folks if you do not read your manual. It is a joke to give you 30 days free tech support!.
My impression is that the software is easy to use, however I assumed it would better suit independent contractors. There was only one thing that could have been semi-semi-perfect Creating estimates and invoices is helpful, but people could easily accomplish those things themselves through an Excel Spreadsheet for a lot less money.
