I would say it is more like having one user at a time, you can have the software installed on multiple computers, but only one user can be logged in and using it. There is no such thing as an one time use program, I use it every day. Keeping it up to date is a simple process via the internet, but it should be done every three months Approximately every 5 years, Intuit updates its software and services In the future, the older version of the software will not be supported. Selected User Reviews For QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021 Accounting Software for Small Business with Shortcut Guide [PC Disc]
As often as every three years, Intuit forces Quickbooks users to upgrade to their new software to maintain access to online banking. There is no option to do this. years, I swear to myself that the next time I will migrate to a new accounting software because Intuit corp. has the worst customer service in the world, has buggy online software, and requires you to create an online account in order to use their desktop software. Trying to log into my desktop PC account has taken me the last hour because Intuit's "software registration" program is so failing that I can't use it. Because of this company's horrid buggy code, I am unable to access my Quickbooks files on my PC. If possible, I hope a potential customer decides to buy ANOTHER software than that from Intuit after reading this review. Intuit is one of the companies I feel the most dislike for. Choosing a different software and company would be a good idea.
There is nothing good about this product. It's absolutely necessary to recognize right up front that Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online are two completely different products. In terms of user interface, menus, and features, they aren't the same. Having no idea what to do with the Desktop version on my own, I looked online to find some The majority of these are for QB Online, even if you specify QB Desktop, meaning they are of no use. The problems arise when you enter something incorrectly as it becomes so interconnected that it is difficult to forget B since it is somehow transactionally linked with This is impossible because they cannot be found anywhere. As a result, I believe that learning through experimentation is difficult. Moreover, I thought that pricing was a bit sleazy. First three months are half price when you sign up, but out of respect for readers. You don't get that first 3-month free trial if you sign up for a free trial Are you serious? Choosing the Online version of QB is the best option if you really must use it. How about me? My accounting was completely different from what it was when it was returned to me. There is no learning curve, it is a FRACTION of the cost of QB, and is much easier to.
I had no problems installing from a CD in the past. The cost has gone through the roof now. The books will be used for a few church services. There was an option to pay $400 for this or to subscribe for $200 a year. Market pricing is about to put QB out of business.
The version I was using in '13 has been upgraded to '21. I dropped the technology update updates, but the system would kick off every so often, so it was only a matter of time before it installed the program with all my data installed. I installed the disc, installed the license, and it downloaded and installed all my data. There are three accounts for me, so I had to use a different password for each one. The system has been up and running without any problems for two months. This was a bit pricey, but I lost so much data that it was totally We're not sure where all the complaints are coming from, but here is one satisfied.
For my business, I use QB, which is what my accountants prefer. In addition to them, I prefer the Desktop version of the product the "software as an annuity" business model has nothing to recommend it. Among the new features in Desktop Pro 2021 are
It was the fastest and easiest installation of QB ever - even after 17 years. In that case, a disc was used. Trying the URL noted on the box led me to a marketing page, which made little sense to me since I wasn't going to hunt down Everything looks and works just fine under Windows 10 after I completed the installation, imported the company file, and performed a few minor tweaks. In order to run the update routine manually, I did the following A download of 1 was made. We ended up with 2 GB of stuff on the disc, which turned out to be a new version (no surprise there given the file date of The software attempted to update the company file after being installed, restarted, etc. My QB world seems to be in good shape following this too. I am glad to see the update-I was pleasantly surprised We have experience in moving and relocating.
My business and my books have both been run on quickbooks for many years both when I worked as a bookkeeper and when I owned My wife and I still use it on a regular basis for our As the version I had was 2011 and was not going to be supported anymore, I had to get a new one. You've reached the end! The desktop version of this package is still good, so I purchased it. Intuit seems to be pushing past having desktop versions of their software, even though it is more expensive than it used to be. It seems like everything these days is a subscription or a cloud-based thing. If I can avoid the cloud, I will not use It is great that I was able to.
Buy their competitor's product instead if you don't need to buy this one. Buying is the only thing I do because my accountant is old fashioned. Within the next few months, I plan on purchasing the online competitor software. In fact, it is not a superior product, but just the one that bought all the competitors. Despite their technological illiteracy, they are poor at it. This software causes me a lot of problems, and I have found a solution That can either be avoided or we will charge you more money so that it can be done.
While I am sure the program is fine, Intuit has refused to help me get it installed since I purchased it from Amazon instead of My money was refunded immediately by Amazon after I contacted them.
