Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this pen for small dogs?

Small dogs should not be given this.

Is it possible to make one of the panels into a door so that I can easily enter and exit the pen?

It's simple to get into and out of the pen. You can also reach in by bending over. I'm not sure if you can make one of the panels open and close like a door.

Is it possible to combine two?

I don't see why you couldn't put two together if you had enough support underneath the pen. I use mine with newborn kittens, starting with two panels per side and gradually increasing the number of panels as they grow.

What is the best way to keep the water bottle on it?

Rabbits should be given water from a bowl, which is similar to what they would find in nature. As a result, rather than using a bottle, I prefer to use a bowl.

This is a fantastic bunny house
5/5

I was skeptical that this would be a good housing option for my rabbits because I'd had mixed results with larger clear frames in the past. These are simple to put together and quite durable. With the smaller panels, I was even able to construct a second floor, which I couldn't do with the larger ones. This product has made me very happy.

Seriously, this is the ideal Syrian hamster habitat
5/5

This was recently purchased for my Syrian hamster, Hercules, in order to provide him with a larger habitat. Unless you buy the extra trails, the small habitats sold by big-box retailers aren't suitable for hamsters. accessories that can be quite costly. br>br>Many people mix up hamsters and monkeys when it comes to climbing. You may think it's cute, funny, or that the hamster is having fun when it's barring on the metal bars in its small cage, but your hamster is bored. stressed. They require a large environment with plenty of things to do to keep them entertained, and you can provide plenty of bedding for your hamster to burrow in. Hamsters in the wild are used to having a variety of hideouts to separate their bathroom, food, sleeping, and other activities. br>br>Lastly, rotate their hideouts, tunnels, and other structures at least once a month. You won't have to remove their bedding on a weekly basis if this is their primary habitat. br>br>Oh, and I'd recommend giving your hamster a sand bath as well; It'll be a big hit with her.

My two bunnies will love it
5/5

This was purchased as a temporary residence for my two miniature Holland lop rabbits. I had recently purchased an outdoor hutch for them, but the summers in North Carolina are far too hot for them. I needed to provide them with a "home" that was indoors. I had been using similar grated panels, but there was always a problem with the flooring in that setup. Furthermore, bunny fur was constantly entangled in the grates, making them difficult to clean. This appears to have resolved those issues, and my bunnies appear to enjoy it as well. It went together in no time. It even came with a small mallet, which I kept and have already put to good use. It has enough space for both bunnies, as well as a litter box, food, and water. (And, despite the fact that they're called "mini" lops, they're not exactly tiny. ) One is about the same size as my small cat. ) Both bunnies have the ability to lay down and hop around, as well as stand on their hind legs. (All of this is EXTREMELY important to rabbits. ) ) I like that I can take one side panel off and let them out to play, but they can return to the litter box and food/water on their own. I didn't use the zip ties that came with the kit because I wanted to be able to take it apart when I needed to. It'll hold up fine without them, but if you want to make it a more permanent structure, zipties are a good idea. br>Cleaning these panels is a breeze. To clean up pellets and bunny fur, I simply use my dust buster, which I can quickly wipe down. My bunnies have "dug" in the floor panels on occasion, but no damage appears to have occurred. However, only time will tell if that is the case. br>There are two things I don't like about it, but neither of them will keep me from purchasing it again because they are simple to fix. The cracks between the pieces of flooring allow items to fall through and onto my floor, requiring me to clean beneath it, which necessitates moving it. It's a little difficult for me to do that because my living quarters are a little cramped. To ensure that my floor is protected, I will most likely use puppy pads or lay down a carpet remnant. Second, I won't be able to hang a traditional water bottle on the side; I know they make ones that hang over the sides rather than ones that hook on cage wire, so I'll have to get one of those. For the time being, I'm using a bowl to hold the water, which they tolerate well but spill on occasion. Because the panels are plastic, it isn't a big deal, but if they spill enough, it will leak through a crack in the floor. However, it is still far superior to the wired panels. br>This is something I would strongly recommend for your indoor bunnies or other small pets. I got a great deal. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. I have no idea how much money I've spent trying to find the perfect place for these guys to live.

It is nice and very nice in appearance if you have a small house like mine and nowhere to "hide" it
4/5

I had a hard time finding a playpen for our two little guinea pigs that wasn't so short they could jump right out of it, so this one was perfect in that regard. For the time being, I've moved the coffee table to our living room. We had one that was a lot bigger, but it was a complete disaster. The material is a flexible plastic, and the bottom and sides are the same material, so it won't withstand anything unusual (one of my dogs scratched it with his paws from the outside), but it's definitely the nicest-looking playpen I've seen. We just put a fleece blanket on the bottom and it's done (there are gaps on the bottom between the squares, but that's no problem with the fleece). br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I bought a second set and made a half-level for our two guinea pigs, as well as extending the overall length of the pen by another square. When we don't want to watch our two big dogs every minute (we can't trust them with our girls yet! ), I put it behind the couch with the extra two pieces attached on the end. I simply wrapped a piece of scrap wood around a non-slip surface to make a ramp. They skidded carpet around it for traction, and they quickly made their way to the top level. This set-up is ideal for our needs, providing plenty of playtime and exercise for our daughters while we are at home.

It's ideal for pets of all sizes
5/5

I foster kittens and set up a playpen for them when they are done with bottle feeding and need more space. It's completely adjustable, and it's incredibly simple to clean. I'll get a second one to put on top of it so I can keep the kids contained for longer. It's fantastic, and I'm glad a friend recommended it to me.

I'm pleased with my purchase; however, there are a few drawbacks
4/5

This is perfect for my lop bunny in Holland! There was nothing even close to it for $50. I liked how simple it was to put together, as well as how light it was while remaining sturdy. However, there are some drawbacks: 1) There are cracks between the panels in the floor area. I put a rubber tarp under the cage and then a regular tarp underneath it to protect my flooring in case the bunny has an accident. 2) There's also the matter of the floor's slickness. However, for cleaning purposes, it must remain that way. The only problem is that because he slides on it, the bunny becomes scared. I did this by putting a hay mat and a cheap dollar store rug in his cage. Overall, I like this product, and I'm crossing my fingers that he doesn't jump out!.
