Not really, but the instructions were so muddled that I'm not sure what they said. I've tried everything, and the only way to avoid the mess is to teach them to go potty in a single location. I never did anything like that. This cage, on the other hand, appeals to me. I simply hose it down and scrub it after dumping all of the bedding and poop.
Nothing gets wet on the bottom. It's a canvas that's completely waterproof. such as substance You'll need to line it with something to absorb the urine; for our guinea pig, we use towels. On top of the towels, we added a layer of fleece. For the record, when compared to hamsters, mice, and rats--all of that can be thrown in the washing machine. everything we've dealt with in the past- Guinea pigs don't have much of a smell to begin with.
Gerbils can't fit through the gaps between the bars because they're too big.
It served as a permanent cage for me, but cleaning it was difficult. Since then, I've switched to a different cage that's just as difficult to keep clean. Guinea pigs are such a pain to keep clean.

It's large enough for two guinea pigs! I have two males who require additional space, and it is significantly larger than I anticipated.
It was purchased because my pregnant Guinness pig required something to keep them together while also separating them. To make cleaning easier, I recommend putting peepee pads under the bedding.

GET IT. This is what I put on the side of his current cage. There's plenty of space in there! It was extremely simple to put together. disassemble disassemble and reassemble until I figured out what I wanted to do This is ideal. It appeals to me. Excellent value for money.
This was the most affordable option we found, and it was the exact size we needed. The cage is quite strong. not extremely- sturdily constructed, but adequate It's simple to put the puzzle together. We did use zip ties to secure everything. ties (which are included in the package) The foundation is nothing more than a thick canvas. The base provides no support and only serves to cover the cage's placement. Little velcro straps connect it to the cage itself. So far, cleaning has been simple and it has held up well.
This is something I would not pay even $20 for. The black pieces that go in between the wire bars, as well as black zip ties, keep it together. The flooring is a type of "easy wipe" lining that is held in place by Velcro ties that connect to the bars. It loses its shape if it is not tied to the bars. There are some stains on the lining that will not come out. It's a pain to put together because the black pieces don't stay put. As you can see in the photos, the black pieces continue to pop off even after the cage has been assembled. You'll need two people to put it together and two people to clean it up, or you'll end up with a big mess. It will lose its shape as soon as you remove the support bar, and if there is too much bedding, it will spill all over the place. The amount of space is the only aspect of the cage that I enjoy. If you can locate a more suitable and spacious cage, do so. Please don't throw away $60 on this nonsense. I'm looking forward to finding a better cage so I can toss this in the trash.
