Questions & Answers

Is it possible for my dwarf bunny to be safe in this pen if I'm not around?

NO, THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS! Even if you're all at home due to the wire rungs being too far apart!! One of our rabbits got his face stuck between two wire rungs, blinded himself trying to free himself, and we had to rush him to the vet. Unfortunately, he died the following day. So depressing!

Would this be a suitable size for my two large dumbo rats, and could they climb out?

I'm not sure if this will help, but my ferrets are unable to climb out. They can't get any purchase for their back feet because there are only cross bars at the bottom, middle, and top. Rats, on the other hand, could be an exception.

I'm looking for a replacement mat, but I'm not sure where I can find one. ?

My mat lasted only a few hours. I would recommend investing in a more durable option. Alternatively, a tarp could be used. Something would most likely be available at a hardware store.

Is it simple to connect hanging water bottles to it? Is the height of the bottles appropriate?

Please refrain from using a water bottle that is suspended from the ceiling. The Missouri House Rabbit Society (a rabbit rescue) provided me with two rescue bunnies. Bunnies, like dogs and cats, should drink from a bowl, according to the mandatory training session before adoption.

Ferrets will love it! I purchased two of these pens for my three ferrets (two females and one male) a little over a year ago
5/5

Unless you have a ferret room or a completely ferret-proof house, letting ferrets loose in your house is akin to letting a bunch of toddlers loose in your house, and you'll have to babysit them the entire time they're out. Ferrets can be a handful, and I knew mine weren't getting enough playtime outside the cage because I didn't always have the energy to keep an eye on them, so I purchased a couple of these. One pen is insufficient for multiple active ferrets, especially when a litter box is included, but two is preferable. These pens have proven to be extremely useful. In the year that I've had them, there hasn't been a single escape, which was my main concern. My ferrets can't climb them, squeeze through the bars, or lift them, and their size, strength, and determination varies greatly. They can change the shape of the pen by moving it in and out, but that's it. I can now take my ferrets out several times per day to let off steam and keep them happy. I was even able to rig up a tube connection from the pen to their cage, allowing them to play whenever they wanted and ensuring that they never escaped, even when unsupervised! These were well worth the time and effort. If you're buying these for ferrets, keep the following in mind:
- If you're going to leave them alone, make sure they have toys that are safe and unbroken so they don't swallow a piece.
- If they will be spending a lot of time in their pen, you should consider purchasing an extra food and water bowl/bottle, as well as a litter box.
- If you decide to put a pen around the cage, as some people have suggested, make sure they can't climb it.
- Ferrets become bored after a while, so alternate toys or buy new toys on a regular basis, and I'd still recommend letting them out to roam the house once in a while. br>br>Pictures depict one versus two pens.

Ferrets will love it
5/5

My two ferrets are in good spirits! They were immediately placed in it, along with all of their toys, and allowed to run around and play freely. No, their heads can't get stuck in the bars, and everything on the gate is perfectly spaced so that they are trapped inside and can't get out. The math that came with it is also very nice, especially since my ferrets aren't potty trained yet because we only got him a few days ago, and it will make for easy cleanup. They also seem to find them amusing because it sticks to their Little Feet because it's a plastic mat. Their water bottle was also able to be attached to the side. I don't think they'll be able to get out of it because it appears to be quite heavy, and they won't be able to push it, so I think you'll be fine if you get it for your ferret. It's as tall as my hip, so I don't think they'll be able to get over it unless you put a toy in there that's as big as the gate and both of them put together.

More space to move around in
5/5

I couldn't find any other 1in pens. I have a baby Mini Lop and was concerned that the other ex-girlfriend would harm her. He'd be able to slip through pens far too easily. I'm not sure how I'll use it yet, but for now we're just leaving it open so he can roam around the kitchen for the majority of the day. It could also be wrapped around smaller cages to give them more space, or it could be used as a cage instead of the standard ones. I like how it gives him more space by spanning a section of our kitchen. I got it while it was still on sale for $46. I really like it and am glad to have it; I may get a second one in the future, but I doubt I'd ever pay the full $77 for it.

Don't waste your time with the plastic mat if you have a great pen
4/5

This is a fantastic pen, which I wholeheartedly endorse. It's very simple to secure the lid and fold it for storage. My rabbits are great at getting out of tight spots, but they've never gotten out of this when all three closure points are fastened. There's no need for zip ties. (They've gotten away when only one or two of the closure points are fastened, so keep that in mind. ) ) If you want to provide your pet with a larger play area, you can purchase two or more of these pens, which will easily connect to one another. br>br>Only the plastic mat included detracted from my rating. The metal portion of the cage is worthwhile, but throw the plastic mat away when you open the box. It's not washable, your pet can chew through it, and if your pet pees on it, it's not absorbent. My bunnies started chewing and ingesting it, so I had to take it away from them. If your pet enjoys attempting to eat things, it may even be a danger to them.

We use two of these to house our rabbits and they work perfectly
4/5

We made pans out of corrugated plastic sheets and lined them with towels for the bottom. Because one rabbit was able to easily open the pen and escape, we added clips to keep hers closed. The other hopped out of a box (no top boxes for him). We vacuum the fur from the bars when it collects. It's a little inconvenient for routine cleanings, but it's cheap and we've made it work. If the ferret hole becomes a problem, you could use glue to seal it.

Throw away the tarp so you don't have to go to the vet, which is perfect for my bunny
5/5

This playpen is fantastic! I bought it for my rabbit because she was initially afraid of us and we needed a way to keep her out of areas we didn't want her in while also giving her a safe space where we could sit and let her get used to us. She's now a free-range rabbit with complete control over the space! When we let her run around the house, we still use it to keep her away from the television in the living room. We also take it with us when we go to different places to stay the night. I'd keep an eye on your rabbit while it's in there, because if it's young, it might fit through the bar gap! Also, please don't use that tarp. Rabbit owners are aware that their rabbits will chew it, but new rabbit owners may not be aware. That concludes our discussion.

YES! My little ferret managed to flee like a ninja, and I was fortunate enough to recover her
5/5

This was suggested, and it's an excellent "just in case" barrier. They despise it, so I know it works, and it hasn't worked since. I would strongly advise!.
