Questions & Answers

Do hermit crabs need a sturdy bowl like this one?

The answer is yes. A couple of years ago, we purchased 2 that are still in excellent condition. It is easy to clean them. Hermit crabs are the purpose for which we bought ours.

Would a poison dart frog be a medium or large size animal?

Karge would be my choice

is the material they are made ?

Their weight is similar to stone and they are made out of resin. There is one drawback I have discovered the material attracts moisture from what it insulates at a faster pace than usual.

Would it be possible to get the color I want? It wouldn't be my choice if it was lit up In a tank that is otherwise all dark slate shades, a brightly colored dish stands out. ?

My opinion is that it is not the case. All I did was to take it. The piece is made of pour resin with spots of light and dark.

The smallest of all the dishes You just need to clean it very well before using it! A perfect fit for the vivarium of my leopard gecko I received one that was very flat and could barely fit in my palm with its water basin only a few centimetres deep at most
4/5

Since I had no desire to know what color I would end up with, the "surprise" factor was much appreciated! It took me two times to clean the thing before I felt it was ready to use it - so I dint give it a full star. After removing the plastic covering from the dish, there was some kind of sticky residue on its surface. My solution was to soak it in warm water with dawn dish soap for an hour or so, then rinse and rinse and rinse, let it dry, then repeat until it was no longer soapy. Prior to supplying your pet's food, make sure your dish is completely free of residue or leftover cleaner to ensure that your pet receives a healthy diet. We should all know this, but I want to highlight it just in case.

The information I needed was there, but not in the form that I wanted
3/5

A small Exo Terra water dish would be about the right size for the bowl, which isn't extra small. My recipe has some sharp edges on the side where it has been chipped, so I am unable to The box is pretty heavy, and it seems like it would last a while.

Size about 3 inches by 3 inches
3/5

There is just not enough space to fit this XS bowl, so I won't be able to Its dimensions are about 3 inches by 3 inches, and it is As a result, our gecko's food would dry out before it was even eaten. It ended up taking me a few trips to Petco where I ended up buying a bowl that had a 1 inch diameter well that is perfect. I would post a photo, but it's in the dishwasher. As a quick note, it's a light blue plastic with a shallower well of a smaller diameter, which keeps foods from drying.

Leaks were detected in the dish
3/5

In spite of no visible cracks or chips, the water from the dish would slowly leak out and the bowl would be emptied within two hours. Toads are known for making a lot of trouble and I initially thought my toads were playing. The bowl was left on the counter when we decided to watch what was happening, and there was a mess on my As strange as it sounds, I didn't see any water breaks in the rock, but water was definitely leaking through.

This is a great product for the price
5/5

We looked at all sorts of crappy, brightly colored plastic dishes that had hefty price tags of several dollars more, but we found a real stone water bowl for a dollar store price. It was important for the look to be natural. A tank with stone looks more natural than any other! Our experience with this product was very positive, and we recommend it to friends.

A great addition to any They help keep snails and bottom feeders healthy in my fish tanks because I use them in the bottom
4/5

To feed them, I simply pushed them down into the gravel until only the mouth lip was visible, then inserted food into it. That gravel keeps accumulating so much quicker, and now the workers know exactly where to go for their good. This is such a great concept! There was a reason I didn't like putting the repashy or pellets at the bottom of the tank because so much just disintegrated into the gravel and made This time, the bowl stays in the bowl until everything has been eaten. I love it!.

There is a strong smell of poison
3/5

It arrived in a timely manner, however, the air is full of a plasticky, toxic smell. Animals may not be as healthy as I would like. My shirt smells like the devil even after I have washed it thoroughly with soap and hot water. The smoke has been left outside in hopes it will dissipate, but I do not believe it will.

There is a problem with the item and it has been damaged
3/5

No matter how small and split it is, it does not look "extra small". Because it was only a dollar, and since I would have had to drive more than a dollar to a return store, I just ate.
