Questions & Answers

Do I need more than 40 gallons of water for a 40 gallon aquarium?

Make sure the aquarium's floor is at least two feet wide and two feet long. You need to measure how tall you would like the substrate to be. You must multiply those numbers (length x width x substrate height) to get the number of cubic inches you need. Two hundred and thirty one cubic inches is one gallon. 462 cubic inches of space are listed as part of the package.

What will happen to my pet iguana if I give him this?

There is a very light and smooth feel to it. Tortoises like to dig in this, and I find the digging therapy effective for my tortoise. A few strings are loose on the coconut, but nothing that should cause concern.

What is the shelf life of this substrate? Would it be suitable ?

Without a doubt. Over the past decade, I have used it on my rose hair and I'm totally satisfied with the results

There are 8 quarts on the bag, but there are 24 quarts on the post. How many bags are there?

I believe the bag in the picture is supposed to be for 24 quarts, It might have been confusing for you when you saw the light reflecting off the bag.

The brick isn't as good as this
5/5

Despite my height of 5'4" and it reaching my knee, I wasn't expecting such a large bag. The 10gl tank I bought this for belongs to my leopard gecko. Despite only using a quarter of the bag, I found it to be very spacious. The only thing you need to do is sprinkle a little on, then mist with water, then sprinkle some more on. It really works. It expands and breaks down in water, as I suspected. I've tested this to see if my pup will dig in it or if I'll do a safety test in water and it worked. (So my leo wouldn't get impacted by them). I will definitely come back to get more when I run out. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I am not paid for my review, or anything similar, but this is my honest opinion, and I'm a critic (if there's any issue with my purchase, I bring it up in my product review so others can find out what I think).

Hermit crabs like this substrate because it is good for purple pincher land For the past 6 years, I have been using this substrate for This seems to be a happy place
4/5

Some times it has been mixed with Flukers sand, but in general it is To maintain the right humidity level, you must keep it between 60-65 percent Hermit crabs require 70% humidity to breathe, since their gills are modified and they must have humidity in order to breathe. It is important to use heating pads and regulate the tank's temperature to around 75 degrees or only a few degrees lower or higher. It is more comfortable for me when it is ETSY is also a great place to order specialty pet food because you can't buy it over the counter at pet stores. The hermit crabs in my care are healthy and on the crest of a wave. As the crabs burrow and molt, deep substrate is crucial for their survival, and as they grow, their shells will need to be larger as well. Shells painted with paint should never be used. I wouldn't recommend buying them either since they are so difficult to create. I am well acquainted with how to take care of them. My only complaint about this review is that there are sometimes gnats that While some may say the gnats are coming from the substrate, I never see them during That's why I don't know what to do.

I noticed mite infestation two days into my stay
3/5

I was pleased with the substrate, but two days in, I noticed that my python had Since I can't even use the remaining substrate and have to purchase additional items in order to wipe it out, it's regrettable. Some people say it's hit or miss, but I went ahead with the purchase ignoring others who reportedly experienced mites as well and had them now.

The design is perfect, aesthetically pleasing Substance appealing to the eye
5/5

I had a baby ball python in her 250g enclosure and it worked wonders This is the product I used to cover the entire bottom of my gallon tank. I used two bags of it. This was the perfect item since she is very active and I wanted something softer for her. I like it better than cypress mulch because it shows off her colors well, and it also looks more visually appealing in my tank. It is useful to have a reptile humidifier to keep humidity up, and this bedding traps the humidity while maintaining a pleasant smell and can even hold its shape after several months. The only drawback to this is that I can no longer keep her fed in her tank because it sticks to the rats and I don't want them to eat.

I am astounded! In the past, I never thought I'd leave a review for lizard bedding, but I love this stuff
5/5

It has been our experience to experiment with several kinds of bedding for leopard geckos, and this one is the best Up there with my favorite.

I didn't think we would like it at first, because we found that the geckos were quite hostile to it. A few of them played a game called "the floor is lava" by jumping from rock to rock, trying to avoid touching the "weird new floor. " It takes them a few days to get used to it, but then The bedding is soft and cuddly for their little den, it never stinks (unlike other beddings that are horrible and begin to smell almost immediately), and it is very light and easy to clean. When you give worms, the bedding is much easier for them to dig through and escape, but that is what I see For the animals, it is good to have to work a little for their.

The bedding is fantastic
5/5

I was very pleased by how fast the package arrived and the way it was packaged. It smells wonderful and it seems to be very light and earthy. My snake appears to enjoy it already. My only expectation was that it would be a bit more fibrous and have larger fibers, but I am still extremely satisfied. As soon as I opened the bag, the package was moist and not dry as I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The package is not resealable, so you will need to find another way to close it or find a container to store.

Use - We recommend using this substrate for Russian Tortoises
5/5

In our lab, we work with substrate made from this animal. The substrate is fine enough that it does not release dust, but it is not so fine that it has a tendency to trap in the shells of our tortoises. Our tortoise enjoys this in combination with sand in comparison with coconut fiber blocks that require hydration. We use this in combination with sand and it seems to displace coconut fiber blocks much more quickly and with less effort. The fine nature of the material makes it impossible for the tortoise to nest in it. Peat moss is added for that purpose as well as sphagnum. Furthermore, the fine nature of the material allows the scooping of waste into a bucket with ease so that it can be easily cleaned up, and this allows you use it as bedding for almost as long as our children do (important if yours This value is Here is a great alternative to our large pet stores, and you can easily set up a subscription so you can get it as often as you need to get it.

It is the bedding that you are looking for, I can assure you
5/5

In the past couple of years, my ball python had a couple of bad sheds due to low humidity so I started looking for bedding that would improve her condition. In the end, I tried Zoo Med Earth Loose Coconut Fiber after switching between a few different substrates. Water holds really well on it, and it stays clean for long periods of time. To moisten the bread, I just mix in some water by hand. As a result of the waste remaining localized, it is also easily cleaned. No matter what the weather is, the bedding smells fine. There is just a certain earthy smell about it. This appears to be quite a soft material, and I can see myself gliding around in it comfortably. In addition to looking fantastic in the tank, it also feels great in the hand. Overtop of a brown Zilla Terrarium Liner, I pour it in. required as a protection from being crushed by the UTH if the snake digs down to the bottom of the glass. Probably the most important thing about his sheds since I've started using this bedding is that he's not scratching much anymore! Getting to know this stuff has been a real pleasure.
