Questions & Answers

Would this be suitable for a fish tank's bottom? What is the material used to construct it? Thanks! ?

Yes, you can use this to grow plants in the bottom of a fish tank. They have a similar product for fish that costs three times as much.

How big is this thing?

25x17. Any terrarium with a 36x18 bottom (40 gallon breeder, 30 gallon breeder, 50 gallon, and 65 gallon) can fit 25 of these perfectly. It will not fit a 40 gallon tank or any other tank that is 48 inches long). For dimensions, look up "aquarium sizes."

I'm curious about the thickness. ?

It's extremely light. It has never been ripped by my two tortoises, and cutting it requires a good pair of scissors. This product comes highly recommended by me. It's a fantastic piece of writing.

Controlling odors in a marriage is a must
5/5

So, my husband decided one day that he wanted a lizard. . . We had four within two weeks. br>br>They're all rescued bearded dragons, and two of them came to us in sand-filled terrariums, which made me want to burn down my house the first morning we woke up to the smell of baking poop sand. Thankfully, this carpet is available. br>br> I use it in all of my terrariums and am very pleased with it. They're also incredibly easy to clean, so no poop is ever left behind. I usually pick it up by rolling it up and carrying it outside, spraying it down with the hose, shaking it out, and hanging it to dry on the fence. The dragons seem to enjoy themselves as well; I don't believe they miss the sand at all. br>br>According to what I've heard, reptile carpet can snag on their nails, which could be a problem. My dragon's claws are rubbed down by my constant scurrying and scrabbling over concrete slabs and various branches, so I have no objections to this. My sister's dragon, on the other hand, has wicked claws that are like obnoxiously painful, and hers has never snagged anything, so maybe it's just a myth. br>br>I'll keep buying these, probably in different colors, because it's fun to mix up the look of the dragon homes.

After cleaning, the product is in excellent condition
5/5

This is a great product, especially if you're looking for something simple and easy to clean. Of course, you can always go cheaper and buy sand, but I recommend lightly coating the bottom with sand because sand attracts mites and other strange small jumping little gnat-like creatures to appear in your tank, so this is definitely a safer alternative. There's also no substrate to worry about. Purchasing this product two by two times should make for a healthy purchase given that when one was taken out to clean it went into the dishwasher with no effect on the cleaner and was cleaned extremely well afterward. The only problem I have with it is that it shrivels when it dries, which is why the rocks are on top of it while it dries.

Great product! I used to use newspaper as a substrate and this is far superior
5/5

Newspaper is so messy and inconvenient, especially if you don't get it delivered to your house, as I do. With a damp paper towel, it wipes clean easily. I give it a weekly wash and let it dry in the sink. I'm going to get a second one so I can put it in her tank while the wet one dries. It would be a little easier if they made them specifically for the size of the tank so they fit flush, but it is OK because it only takes a few minutes to cut to size. It is a thick material, so be careful while cutting since you will need to use a sharp scissor or blade to make clean cuts. It would be a little easier if they made them specifically for the size of the tank so they fit flush, but it is okay because it only takes a few minutes to cut to size.

I'm a huge fan of this medium
5/5

This substrate liner is absolutely fantastic! br>From my daughter, I "inherited" a lovely crested gecko. He's the sweetest little creature I've ever met. br>I purchased a lovely vertical aquarium for him and lined it with this substrate. br>With one 50 gallon box of liner that I simply cut in half, I get two rounds of use! br>It's hygienic, simple, and easy to clean. As long as you swap it out or wash it every few weeks, it keeps the mess to a minimum. br>In there, he appears to be quite content - I'd give it a big thumbs up!.

Cleaning is a breeze
4/5

Unlike traditional litter, this product is a cinch to clean. It's what we use for our adult corn snake. The poop is easy to see (which can be difficult with other litters), so getting it out isn't a problem. I take the liner out of the tank, scrape the poop into the toilet, and then wash it in the sink with some soap and a scrub brush to remove the majority of the poop. Then I toss the liner in the washer (not the dryer) with my next load of laundry. Obviously, I have a spare that I use in the terrarium while the other is being washed, so having two is a good thing. The only thing I don't like about this snake is that it can't burrow as well as it can in traditional litter. Our snake burrows beneath the liner and hides there, defeating the purpose of having one in the first place. I'm not a fan of her entire body resting on the terrarium's cold glass floor. However, it's possible she was unconcerned. I'm not sure what the maximum dimensions are for the liner, but it can be cut to fit different terrarium sizes. However, you can always combine two smaller pieces to cover an entire tank. We continue to use this product instead of traditional litter and are satisfied with it.

For reptiles, this is a good option! In my opinion, this is an excellent choice for reptiles
4/5

We tried tile, newspaper, and this product was by far our favorite. One of our beardies liked to go potty in the same spot in his tank, so I put newspaper in that area to keep it clean. It takes longer to clean than tile, but it's a great product because it doesn't shift with the animal or other decor/furniture like newspaper, and it's much easier to clean than tile in terms of "messes" getting in between or under the tiles. However, cleaning this is a pain in our experience, unless you have two so you can just switch them out while one is being used and the other is drying, and ours always had a bunched appearance and did not lay completely flat once hand-washed (hence the four-star rating). the number of stars).

For your reptile, a safe substrate is a must! We tried a lot of different substrates for our bearded dragon before settling on these substrate mats
5/5

They look nice and work well for covering the cage's bottom. We wash them with warm water and soap when they become soiled (we bought two). The rug was then laid out in the sun to dry. Because there are no particles that could be eaten, and they look good in the cage, this is a great safe option for your bearded dragon. I would strongly suggest it!.
