Questions & Answers

Is this the first time a turtle tried to take one of these rocks from me? What do you call a slider with a 7" carapace and red ears?

This is not the right size! It is not recommended for turtles to use these products at all. There is a chance a hatchling can't swallow, but I wouldn't want to take the chance. It's astonishing how much a turtle can swallow if you get a big river stone. You don't notice until it's eating you. I didn't notice until it was months later. Despite being removed 2 years ago, my RES has still been pooping smooth gravel like this! My RES came with similar smooth gravel and she is still pooping it! Every time I notice them, I remove them, but she'll eat them from her poo, or every few months another one will appear, so yeah 2 years after I took them away they still appear. If you do this to your turtle, you could lose it, incur a vet bill for x, and much more A radiograph or surgery may be necessary. You should not take a chance

Do you get two or one of the 10 bags with this?

This item includes one 10 lb bag of good size. This is what I love. There is a lot of smoothness and beauty in the rocks. Our turtle tank looks great with them.

Does it take a lot of effort to clean the rocks?

That is the case. They have a smooth surface, so they are easy to clean, but they are bigger than a quarter coin

Can you tell me if these stones are grey or beige. How is it possible for an item to have two different images?

There was some variation within the bag of mine, but my samples were more beige than gray.

I use these rocks for my turtle's aquarium because they are smooth and large
5/5

This would be perfect for an aquarium with turtles. You won't find any of them being eaten by your turtle because they're larger. It does seem that they arrive with paper dust all over them, so they do need to be cleaned at the beginning. I prefer the colors of these rocks, which have a natural look but still have plenty of shade variety. Initially, I bought one bag for my 20 gallon aquarium, which worked fine, but I am picking up a second one since the first one only covered the bottom of the tank in part. Furthermore, your turtle can't hurt itself somehow on the rocks, because they are too smooth. I really like the way they work!.

Rinse no matter how many times you want to There's water in the clouds! Despite the great reviews on here, I was tempted to buy this, but the rocks just cause the water to cloud up with continuous sediment
3/5

Over the past few months, they have been rinsed more than ten times, and they sit in water constantly, My water is treated, I perform regular water changes, I have a good filter in place, and I own a small turtle that doesn't produce nearly enough waste to cloud the water, but no matter how often I change it, the water remains cloudy because of My turtles have lived in my tank for over 15 years and I have never had a substrate so bad cloud my water. Even the 80 pounds of sand I used to use in my previous set up did not cloud the water this badly! The fact is that even sand sediment settles (Unless you do not want to know what is in your tank, I would not recommend these. It pays to rate it one star as it's not possible to rate it lower, and it probably fills up vase pretty well.

I cannot describe what a priceless facial expression UPS Guy had
5/5

The smooth pebbles are ideal for our turtle habitat, and they're a good deal at just $10 for 10 pounds. Yeah, you can get a bag at the dollar store, but for $1 you will get 1 pound, and you won't typically be able to get 10 bags in one place at the same time (and if you need 50 pounds, what will you do about it? I wish you the best. Nevertheless, ordering 5 bags from Amazon might be the most enjoyable experience, the look on your UPS guy's face when he delivers a 50-pound litter box filled with rocks to your door.

Be sure to wash the pebbles well before using them
5/5

A goldfish I keep eats sand substrate relentlessly, and the fish eat various types of fancy goldfish. The pebbles I wanted to put in my aquarium are exactly what I needed. I can't eat them because they aren't too big, but just large enough for my fancy goldfish to avoid consuming As soon as the pebbles out of the bag, they are extremely dirty, so they need good rinsing before they go into an aquarium. I also checked all the pebbles with a magnetic to see if any heavy metal rocks had been left behind. I did not receive any magnetic pebbles in the two bags I ordered. This purchase has been quite satisfying for me!.

The 4-inch- and larger sizes do not fit Turtles measuring 5 inches are just as These bags are so nice that I bought two of them
3/5

Considering I have seen 20lbs bags sell for the same price I paid for these, I found them to be on the expensive side. They are marketed as suitable for 4"-"6" diameter pipes, so I thought they'd be good for me. I have a turtle that is five inches long. The smaller ones, however, were the ones I picked out by hand as my turtles tried to eat them. This I did about five times before I decided to get rid of them permanently. I had good results with them for my goldfish, but I would recommend them only for baby turtles. There is not much gunk built up on these things, but they are quite easy to clean.

There are a lot of pebbles for a 10 gallon tank and they don't slide around
5/5

He has 3 turtles in a 10-gallon aquarium, which he filled up with water and kept a fake rock in the middle. This is what I got along with a new Tetra 25845 Repto filter and set up his tank. It is a favorite of turtles! Turtles can climb on these pebbles to rest or rest in the rocks.

A tank full of natural pebbles looks good for him
5/5

It is my grandchild's gift to me, his grandmother, to have an aquatic turtle. (The turtle was given to me, his grandmother, when the grandson left home after getting married. As a result, I now have the turtle and have invested quite a bit on him. The effort is worthwhile. The turtle seems to like his new home and has grown to be 8 inches long, so I guess everything is good. Yurtle arrived here in a smallish plastic tub, so I guess I'm doing pretty well. A turtle that looks happy is a turtle that is doing well. You should be aware of the following It is possible for turtles to live for hundreds of years. Chum, my turtle, is nearing 15 years old. Although she could live to be 40 or 50 years old, she is only going to live a short time. It is in my will that he is!.

There is so much joy in the turtles' faces when they see My 40 gallon breeder tank measures 36" long by 18" wide with about 6" of bottom shelf
5/5

I bought 3 packages of this to put a thin layer on the bottom The water is seven inches deep). The black rocks look great compared to the smaller black rocks I used to have, and the turtles don't eat them (they are full grown and 13 years old). Food is easily found in the rocks by the turtles, who dig in them for hours The turtles appear to enjoy their new environment so much that I wish I had acquired them years earlier. These illuminations also give a more "bright" appearance to the tank. I was concerned about some of the other reviews I bought this product for my turtles and I am very pleased with it.
