One stone is all that was needed.
Because I am not standing next to the fish tank as I write this, I am relying on my memory, but I believe the opening was approximately recall that the picture on Amazon made me think the stone was much larger than it The Cichlids in the stone can go in and out freely, but the stone is too small for the Cichlids that are larger in size. I will modify this posting as soon as I find something different.
The stone will only fit our small and medium cichlids I am not sure what size a RAM cichlid is. There's no way for the larger ones to fit, so don't even try. remember indicating that the hole was approximately the size of a quarter in my previous response.

It appears in the photograph that there was only one hole in the stone, but from my perspective, I think this is a very nice Cichlid There is a hole in both ends of the stone and although the Cichlids seem to enjoy it, it does not provide the protection that a smaller Cichlid would like since another Cichlid can chase them out If I had known the stone had two holes, I might have taken care of it differently. In addition, I would like to know the actual size of the stone because I felt it was on the smaller side, yet it was described in the advertisement as medium. Unlike the smaller Cichlids in the tank, the larger cichlids can not.
When my betta sleeps he likes to hide in the opening, which is large enough that he can easily pass through it. There is a bit of roughness to the edges of the slots. I didn't feel any snags, but they are certainly coarse, like the bottom edge of a stoneware plate that hasn't I have gravel in my tank, and it chips off some of the ceramic, which I did not expect. In summary, it works, it's a nice visual addition to your aquarium, it looks different from normal decorations and provides a great place for your fish to hang out.
A hole about 1 inch in diameter is used for the entrance. I'd say the size is about 5 by 1 inches, and a little wider than that. It is 75 inches long. There is no way it won't look great in anyone's tank given how attractive it is. The product is highly recommended if you have small cichlids or Dwaves!.
A chiclid magnet is what these are. Within five minutes, my colonies were able to take up residence. Please note I also have Cockatoo dwarf chiclids, though they are smaller than the others.
While it is nice, I was under the impression that it would be larger than I had thought. Prior to buying, make sure that the item is the right size. It's great. But I don't like everything I see in If you have a very small aquarium, this item should be recommended. The kind that holds 8 gallons of water Sacrificial scapegoats.
My betta didn't like this at all, but I bought it for him in hopes that he would like My fish didn't go in there at first. After a couple of weeks, he spent quite a bit of time in there. I guess a small tank needs a hiding spot.
Would you consider that media? I could have happily kept a goldfish the size of it, but it was way too small for my fish. This was a well-made item, and we were able to use it for our puppies.
This is very popular with females. Having moved into her new home, she will My only wish is that it were a little darker. The growing algae have been able to hide in the aquascape more readily in recent years.
