Questions & Answers
Yes. After opening, it seals, ensuring that the cookies stay fresh.
These cookies aren't soft or chewy in the least. They have a hard, crunchy texture to them. They're a hit with the horses, but I'm not sure they're what you're looking for. Have you tried using molasses to aid your horse's Previcox intake? Mrs. Pasture's cookies are a wonderful treat for the horses, but they aren't what you're looking for.
On the one I got brand new, there was a safety seal.
I've always bought these as a present for my horse-loving friends. They enjoy them as well. Because there are no harmful ingredients, I don't think they'd be a problem for dairy cows - But I've never worked with dairy cows before.
Selected User Reviews For Mrs. Pastures Horse Cookies (32 Oz)
This product appeals to me because it is the cleanest Horse treat on the market, and I can usually find it at my local feed mill or Tractor Supply. br>I believe Mrs Pastures has done an excellent job of creating a nice crunchy little biscuit with very few ingredients and no added junk such as unnatural preservatives, synthetics, or food dyes. br>I like how she sweetens the cookie with molasses rather than sugar because molasses has some nutritional value that sugar does not. These treats are enjoyed by all of my animals, including three sheep, one bunny, and two horses. They can go through them quickly, which is why I didn't give this product a five-star rating. I believe the product is overpriced for what you get, especially since it is not organic and contains GMO products and wheat, both of which I try to avoid for my animals and myself. br>I realized that I could get a bag of Organic Non GMO Ginger Snaps (for humans) and feed them to my animals for a similar price, if not less, than Mrs Pastures.
They're 18 and 13, and they've been eating these for the majority of their lives. I cut them up into small pieces and give them to my kids as a treat every now and then. This package offers the best value because you get a lot of bang for your buck. A year from the date of purchase, the certificate will expire.
These cookies are too large, too expensive, and too difficult to conceal a pill inside for clicker training, but my horses adore them. They don't crumble in my pocket, smell like molasses, and are made with quality ingredients. These cookies are perfect for goodnight snacks, birthday treats, or trail snacks. For special occasions, this is a unique treat.
The ingredients in a lot of horse treats are bad. We make a lot of our own, but I wanted something that would be useful for shows and travels. These treats were a big hit with the crowd.
Not only for my guinea pigs, but also for myself. They're hard and crunchy, so they give the guinea pigs something tasty but relatively healthy to gnaw on to keep their teeth worn down and healthy, and they're much cheaper, ounce for ounce, than the tiny treats sold in tiny bags specifically for rabbits, chinchillas, and guinea pigs, even at the Amazon price. Tractor Supply sells these for less, as another reviewer pointed out.
The horses, as well as the dogs who discovered some forgotten ones in my pocket, thought they were super tasty. I strongly suggest it.
Like the 5lb, it was shipped quickly and in good condition, with no dust or broken items. I bought something a while ago.
I was expecting a soft treat, but these were as tough as bricks. They appeared to be completely dry. Maybe they're supposed to be crunchy, but they're not what I had in mind for my horse.
