Although, I suppose you could do that, I would think it would be easier and cheaper to just buy hair dye. However, it would probably do great damage to your hair. Furthermore, I find that when I use Blu-ray With Kote, it usually washes off my hands after a day or two. If you apply it to your hair, it won't last very long.
You are right. To treat my hoof issue, I bought the product. Since I started using it on horses 50 years ago, I have had no problems. Have one in my "vet" box at all times.
As with most items, it has a date of expiration, so you must throw it away and replace it. Regardless of how long after the expiration date passes, it will be fine!
The severity of the injury will determine how long the wound takes to heal. Blue Kote should suffice if it is only an abrasion that does not penetrate through the skin. Unless the skin has been penetrated, make sure you isolate the chick until healing is complete.

The only issue I've had with my chickens is that it sticks to the feathers and turns them black Minor injuries should be protected by others so that others don't pick at them. Essentially, purple paint causes wounds to be more difficult to see, so I'm able to keep a bird with a minor injury among the flock rather than having to isolate it. I don't have to deal with reintroducing a chicken back into the flock, so that is a huge plus. You can imagine how much of a headache that is if you have chickens! This is Blu-ray Additionally, if you have issues with feather picking, Kote may help you hide bald patches. The only time I've dealt with feather picking was when I was a child As soon as I stained the rear end purple, the feather picking stopped immediately. And while I use it for covering wounds, I have never had any wounds get infected - even when I use it mainly to hide wounds. Therefore, I assume it speeds up the healing process. So, let me just say this only ever had to deal with minor injuries (torn comb, a minor scrape on a leg, etc. ) in my life. Just BE CAUTIOUS **Don't be impulsive There is no doubt that this stuff stains terribly. I made the mistake of bringing a chicken into the house to consult my specialist the first time I used it. There is a wand inside the cap with a sponge, so I thought it would be quick and easy She can be cleaned up easily with this stuff by dabbing it That was indeed the case. I was so calm when I was with my chicken. As long as she didn't shake her head, that is. A purple dye ran all over the place I have brown spots on my face, my hair, my clothes, as well as the table and the Over a period of several days, I had purple blotches all over my face. Nothing could be scrubbed off of it no matter how hard you scrubbed. I learned my lesson, as I'm sure you can attest. The dirty clothes, the shower cap, and the grime You must wear gloves and use outside only!.
Buying the spray is necessary if you're using it for hens! Purchasing the spray is a good idea! Our promise to you is It is likely that you will get more purple pigment on the applicator Your poor hen deserves a better fate than you! The phrase P. S. In the last week, my wife and girls have struggled with their purpleness. I discovered that Ethyl (Rubbing) Alcohol gets rid of it easily. The phrase P. S. The drug is used on wounds on My only wish is that the lid of the bottle would prevent spills. The stables would be easier if this were the case. Ensures that there is no infection and promotes My second bottle of this wine just arrived. It would be impossible to live without it. I am healing the wounds on my calves. We're talking extensive wounds here! Nutrition is good, twice daily wound care is good, and a clean, stable environment is also very important. The fact that a product of ages past can still achieve such remarkable results is wonderful. It is not necessary to worry about adverse The medical community used to treat patients this way when it was a standard practice.
This product was used to fix the broken nail bed on my dog. The fungus or bacteria did not come into contact with her, so I believe it was helpful. Having let the product dry for several hours on her paw, I wrapped her paw every day. Over the course of a month, I applied this two times per week. Rather than wrap her paw in a bandage, I would have applied the blue liquid more often and let it dry sooner (to help the wound scab and dry faster), but the blue liquid stain everything, rugs, wood, and The staining would have given it a much better rating if it weren't for that. Almost none of the stains can be removed from the area.
Few products are suitable for use on poultry wounds. A good example of it is this. There is no pecking from other chickens when they use it. This kind of thing is very old school, but it works when other things fail to do so. In addition to covering irritated wounds, it also works well to prevent the other chickens from pecking at the red area even more. There is no attraction to blue for them. My name is Dr. Jack and I am You can use this product on superficial wounds in poultry without worrying about it harming them. You don't have to worry about it staining your skin for several days or a week, but you should be careful with it because it's messy.
Raz had a black, SMELLY bump on the middle of his stomach giving him an awful look! An infection was evident on its surface. I then sprayed it with peroxide and "painted" it with Blu Kote after soaking the photo in very warm water and spritzing it with the solution. It burst within an hour after I used Blu (I can't tell you what a gross experience it )I have been painting his infection for the last two days The smell has gone and it is healing well now.
However, wear something that you don't care about getting stained if you use this product - it is The mess is really bad!.
Whether there has been any feather picking or pecking. This is what we use to feed I've found it to be a real keeper. You must stop pecking, feather picking or exposing skin if any occurs. We dab this directly on the chicken scratch and the chickens leave it Although one downside, which we don't really consider a downside since it prevents us from losing chickens due to picking, injury, or death throughout the molt cycle, it DOES stain the chicken blue or purple for the duration of the molt When our friend was a child, he thought one of our chickens had purple feathers, so we thought it was odd Haha, that's funny ).
Sometimes, my chickens and birds (separately) get into fights because they're separated by a fence. It definitely speeds up their healing process when I apply it on their wounds. As well as being able to have it put on open/fresh wounds, they don't seem to mind getting it applied. When this is applied, it won't harm them like alcohol does. Please note The dye will stain clothing, feathers, and flesh for a short period of time. Eventually it will wash away, but it takes time to do so.
