The adults of the house also took these for the treatment of chiggers or scabies. Although I am not certain which I had, they disappeared quickly and the adults have no more issues, other than a slight itch left over from prior use. In this case, I used the dosage of 0 mg. Each 10lbs has a dose of 1mg. You should check the dosage online, as I'm not sure how much to take. I have not had any adverse effects from using it. The drug is still undergoing human testing to determine if it will be approved for human use in treating scabies. If you will have Ivermectin 3 weeks before or 3 months after, you should not take it!.
As if it were a treat, my mare ate it up! Thanks a lot.
I would recommend it.
I have used this product successfully on.
I have a good product.
Horse got sick when it was younger. In the past, I had used the wormer about once or twice a year on my older horses (3 and above only). It has historically worked very well on them. Since I have been here for four years, I have never encountered any issues. In my experience, I have never used it on a yearling or two-year-old. There was always a bit of worry in my heart. On one occasion, I wormed one of my 2 year olds, and he had the most terrible Within 4 hours he developed quite a few bumps and hives the size of quarters to the size of a basketball covering his entire body. He subsequently became very unwell. made me feel like I was going to die. The last thing I thought I did was overdose him. After coming out and seeing a vet, he was given shots of medication to help stop the allergic reaction or whatever it was. There were bumps and welts on his body for two weeks. There was nothing good about it. The creams and pills he had to take every day were not pleasant. As far as I know, I did not overdose him, according to the vet. There was something in it that he was allergic to. My experience was that it was very effective when it worked for me. Yet, when it didn't work that one time, I felt terrible.
Therefore I have not used it since then. At least four years later, I still have success using it on eight older horses. However, I didn't get success on my younger I can only speak from my own experience. Honestly, I believe there are both risks and rewards with any medication. The line between that and me is one thing I'm unwilling to take a chance on. My rotation is Ivermectin and Pyrantel, so I will continue to use those. While some of my friends are successful with quest, there are others who don't care about it at all.
I hope this will be useful for.
Some horses have experienced adverse reactions to this wormer, so be careful if you decide to use it.
