It's what we use - A layer of melt is applied to the bottom of the aquarium, above the spot where the heat tape is mounted under the base of the aquarium. It seems to work
The temperature ranges from 10* F to 140* F. My reading is in the range of I used 95°F in the pen for my Green Iguana. Everything seems to be going well. 1) I believe that everyone needs a rheostat to regulate the heat. You never know when something might break down or perhaps your air furnace will stop working, causing your house to overheat.
It doesn't have any lighting at all. Although it's difficult to read, its layout is very clear.
You'll need a battery for this 2) it comes with a battery it works great!

My hedgehogs need something like this for their cages. He wanted to stay warm enough without attempting hibernation, so I had to make sure it stayed warm for him. The thermometer I ordered was the result of some research. Getting the job done with the kit has been a breeze for me, but I believe it's geared more towards snakes and other reptiles. Upon receiving it, it is practically ready to use. It is super easy to figure out and practically ready to go when you get I have been using it every day since I got it and it is working In my opinion, nothing could be done to make this a better product. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to monitor the temperature of their pets' cages.
We can't live without it. There are not even enough metals to be worth a penny. As you can see, there are only two pieces in the packaging The front is made of plastic, while the back is made of cardboard that slides off far too easily. The order I placed is for four. 2 of these were fine. The remaining 2 were without batteries (the batteries fell out of The suction cup on one of them was missing (fell out). You won't see any more reviews from here complaining about missing parts if just one staple were added. Then there's the device I'm using. I have very expensive, very precise measuring devices that I use for incubation, growth rate measurements, fermentation, etc. This isn't what they're meant There is no way that a few dollar thermometer will be a highly accurate instrument for anyone complaining about accuracy. For spaces that require less maintenance, these are a convenient choice. These are the cages I have for my reptiles. The hot side is on one side, and the cold side is on the other. A general range at a glance is all I need. I've been using these for years, and they appear to last forever. It is a dream come true for me. What would I put in my stapler if I only had one.
That's the first thermometer I've ever owned, and I really like Having a thermometer mounted on a glass just wasn't enough for me. When I was looking for the exact location where my battery pack was tucked away, I wanted to know its temperature. This thermometer has a temperature probe that can be inserted beneath the tank bedding into his warm hiding area. As you can see in the pictures, I can do so quickly and easily. The temperature readout box is on top of the tank, so I can instantly see what the temperature is with the push of a button. There seems to be a lot of accuracy in that statement. Only downside I can think of is that my read out box doesn't seem to hold up very well because of the suction cup on it. For holding it in place, I will use a thin piece of Velcro instead. As far as I can tell, the suction cup on the wire works well. Despite the fact that it is an LCD screen, it is not the brightest to look at, but you can see it just fine. If they brightened it up, it probably would burn out the battery more quickly. The corn snake's overall performance is very good, and I will definitely buy another to complete my collection. I like this product in particular at this price. It is a great buy and not to be missed.
It is now up to me to purchase the batteries for as much money as the thermometer cost. My disappointment is great!.
The brooder that we used to raise about 50 chicks had several thermometers. The one I have chosen is my favorite this year and I will purchase more There are two ends to the thermometer one is for the bottom of the brooder (where you want to measure the temperature) and one for the top so that it can be easily read. I found the other side of the brooder to register quickly as well. You can check the temperature in various areas of the brooder throughout the day as soon as you move it the temperature adjusts as soon as you move it. It is not labeled as such, but I bought it anyway, and it turned out to be quite useful. Here's an update Two more of these are required for the purpose of raising chicks, and they are perfect. This is a much simpler and more convenient alternative to putting a thermometer at the bottom of the brooder where it gets gross and poopy. I still have a good battery in the one I bought last year!.
Considering what I purchased it for, I don't think I bought it for what it's "normal uses" are. Despite the fact that I bought it for my hedgehog and not for a reptile, I believe the review to be It's annoying to use a suction cup. I have to keep taking it off all the time. At the moment, it is suctioned to something on top. So, it doesn't have to only hold the little yellow thing steady, it merely has to keep it up. This error is on a clean, flat surface, but I have no idea why. As a result, the cord is significantly longer than it needs to be, and I have tied most of it together in order The temperature doesn't seem to be maintained correctly, and (probably more importantly) it doesn't look like it tracks time. Usually it fluctuates within a few hours, but it can sometimes change significantly in just the space of a few hours. I can't imagine that my apartment varies so much in such a short time period.
It is accurate. The controls are simple It is affordable. It is reliable. do not keep it on, I only use it to occasionally check the temperature in my room to make sure it does not get too hot or too cold My suction cup does not work, but I've never found a good suction cup before, so I had bought it assuming it would not work. String, twist ties, velcro strips, or any other method of attachment make it easy to attach it to other items If you absolutely must have it attached to something, then look into home solutions. What a cool thermometer! Thank you!.
This isn't 100% accurate and can vary by up to 20 degrees in a matter of You can get a rough idea of what the weather is like, but it's not always precise, so be careful with your Hedgie! while it is attempting to guess the temperature, it can sometimes give the "error" reading for about 5 minutes before returning to a somewhat normal pattern. While you don't know how hot or cold your animal is, it could be burning hot or cold. If you are traveling with an animal in the winter then it is quite sketchy.
