Questions & Answers

The thermometer suction cup left marks on the plastic aquarium of a customer and they were not able to remove them. Can anyone confirm if it will remain on the plastic aquarium of a customer?

It is true. The two acrylic tanks I had have permanent silicone rings on them, not just from this, but from heaters, betta leaves and food bowls as well. Anytime you suction to an acrylic tank, you leave a permanent mark.

Is it possible to find out what the temperature range is of the green safety zone of this product?

The temperature range is from 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Would it be best to submerge part of it in What is the possibility of it being fully purged?

In this case, the whole thing floats upright with the top of the glass just barely out of the water so it seems to work fine in that manner. As far as I can tell, my submerged unit still functions as intended. According to the way they designed it, I would think it's supposed to be submerged at least to some extent.

Do you allow me to remove the suction cup if I am not using Thanks so much. ?

There is a hole on the suction tube through which the thermometer slides in and out. Every time I clean mine, I take it apart.

There is no way for you to complain about 49. Using one of those ubiquitous cheap digital thermometers from Amazon, I took my temperature. There was a lot of fluctuation in the temperature. As a result, I started doubting it more and more. The manual was 6 degrees hotter than the digital, so I ordered this. I was surprised to find out that the digital thermometer was 6 degrees off. The water temperature in my fish's tank stayed at 86 degrees for a month. Poor thing. As a newbie, I have no clue what I am doing. Moreover, he is the best of the best. This reaches the extreme end of the temperature range for high temperatures. Just wanted to let you know how happy I am to have purchased it. As a proof of concept, I tested this with some ice and water in a cup. Despite the perfect 32 degree temperature, this temperature reading is still not ideal. The procedure for calibrating a thermometer is as follows. According to the digital thermometer, it read 26 degrees. won't be able to trust a digital thermometer in the future. Glue is used to glue the suction cup to the wall. As far as I know, you cannot turn the thermometer in a particular direction. Due to the fact that it was so cheap, I am not bothered by this. There is a $2 charge here. I like it very much. A plant can easily hide the camera behind it. According to those who said the suction cup broke, the suction cup A mark has been left on the canvas. The reviewers have acrylic tanks, I'm pretty sure. The acrylic is probably of poor quality. There are two dollars in this. Among the most accurate thermometers is the 49. Up to date Now that I have compared this thermometer to a few digital models, I endorse it. There is one digital camera that is very expensive. Despite its small size, this thermometer is accurate to the degree.

I don't think it's Doesn't seem to have any logic behind why it breaks

In the course of doing a water change, I noticed that there were fewer tiny balls in the bottom of the thermometer. When I took it out, I discovered that the thermometer had A clean cut was made on the bottom bit of the hole. My aquarium is now filled with the liquid that is in the thermometer. I tried finding out what this liquid was. As I am writing this, I have made a 75% water change and am testing the I found out that it's usually alcohol by looking at Google, but it's not mentioned in the description. Furthermore, I tried taking a picture of the broken glass, dropped it 3 inches and it broke way worse than I expected. No matter how you want to view it, I attached it. Moreover, this thermometer has been in my possession for seven.

It works, but it emits a chemical smell due to the suction cup
3/5

The following changes have been made as of 10. 2. 17 Changing my review to a lower score. The suction cup reacts with acrylic tanks and permanently damages them, as others have pointed out. As a holding device for air pump tubing, I used it on the outside. The ring still clings to your finger after it was removed. When I scratched my nail over it, it fused with the tank or ate away at it. There is no happiness for me! As the suction cup results in the tank being able to move, what does it do for What you see in the photo is just the residue of the suction cups I bought to replace the lighter. The marks from that thermometer disappear, but those from this thermometer don't. The items were shipped and sold by Amazon, and I bought them in July 2017. The original review was written as follows This thermometer floats and it seems to deliver accurate readings, however the suction cup that was included makes me gag. There is a strong chemical smell of industrial chemicals coming from the plastic I could tell if I handled it for a short while if it rubbed off on my fingers. The suction cup was soaked in a variety of cups of water for days and it made my cups smell strongly of chemicals and plastic after emptying out the water. After we talked about it a little bit, I ultimately decided to never let that suction cup touch any water in It's pretty much just a floating thermometer and that aspect seems to work well for me.

Buying this product is not recommended! Two major problems came up with this thermometer, which I purchased to try out
3/5

First of all, the suction cup was not able to Even though the waterfall would push it under water, the thing would always float free within the tank- The turtle tank has a filter of this type. Even with careful application and clean handling, it was never able to stick to the wall of the tank. A second problem is that my tank thermometer STATED under water!! It is not clear what caused the problem. If the turtle had been pushed underwater when I poured water into the tank to refill it after cleaning, it could have been my turtle, the waterfall, or even it could have been hitting a hard object underwater when I was pouring water in. Whatever it was, if the suction had kept it on the wall, nothing would have happened. The following reasons explain why you should not purchase it As a result of the break, not only did it leave glass shards in my turtle's tank which could have cut him, but also the small metal balls which keep it upright and sturdily weighted in the bottom of the thermometer were also released. Because they sink and do not get sucked up by a water siphon/gravel cleaner, they have to be manually removed, which is a pain in the arse. Those balls may be iron balls, but I'm not sure, and they might leech chemicals into the tank. If we had chosen a cheap thermometer strip, we would have made a better decision. The product is not worth the money!.

Please be aware You should not use this suction cup on acrylic tanks due to the possibility of it melting
3/5

I have attached a photo of the spot on my 5-inch computer monitor where the suction cup of the thermometer left a permanent mark Tetra tank with a capacity of 50 gallons. My tank has a plastic mark inside it that I can actually feel. Without saying anything else, the suction cup doesn't work well enough to attach to the tank every time. This means that I no longer want it to be in that tank because it is doing this. There is a residue on my clothes and I cannot remove it. The surface of the tank has been permanently adhered to it. On this tank, the lighting is only LED, and the temperature range is between 78 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit Since Mollies are kept in my house, it is 80 degrees. A fifth glass of wine is on its way There was a Fluval tank of the same size, and it didn't happen there. In the product description, it should be noted if the product is not designed for acrylic tanks. Atop all of that irritation, the graphical breakdown of temperature readings on the inside of the device is so small as to be virtually indistinguishable.

During the installation of the aquarium, a suction cup damaged the glass
3/5

Even after being installed for only 6 days, the suction cup was eroding through the plastic of the aquarium when I removed it for a weekly tank cleaning. That is very strange. I removed the suction cup from the product. Thanks for ruining my tank. The aquarium bears the etching of the suction cup print visible in the picture.

The information provided is not The information provided is not It was my first attempt at seeing how my heater worked, so I put it in my 10 gallon

There was already a thermometer reading 76 by one of the sides of the tank. There was a reading of 82 on this one. This thermometer is placed in my warmer 5 gallon right next to another that shows 76 and this one shows Both of my old thermometers recorded 76 degrees in my last test, so I used both of them as conditions. I am therefore confident in stating that this thermometer is not calibrated correctly and has a margin of error of five degrees This is a degree eight. A marina thermometer is visible on the right hand side of the photo.
