The 'freshwater' LEDs as well as the 'planted' LEDs are in my collection. For my 10 gallon with my floating egeria that absorbs most of the light, I can use freshwater. Since years ago, I have been growing the LED on the same plant stock on a 20g (16" tall).

It is a metal fixture with a nice metal construction and it is reasonably priced for a beginner. In addition to having only 3 modes (blue and white) and moonlight (blue only) there is also an off switch. The length of this fixture is only 8" even though it's advertised for aquariums up to 20 gallons. Furthermore, we should point out that the distance from the edge of the mount to the center of the LEDs is 5 inches (see picture). If this fixture does not fit your tank, be sure to measure the size of your tank before buying. A value somewhere between 6000 and 7000 was tested In comparison with the manufacturer's value of 18400K, 7000K is higher. When you search for "parfinderaqua" on Google, you will find the PAR values.
OK, so if you are going to use this light on an open top aquarium, I would rate it high. This product is bright, it looks sleek, and it is very attractive. I like that the cord is hidden and that it is well made. People are saying that the screw is flimsy because they don't realize that you have to remove the plastic screw and install it the other way so that the screw is in the water. It works perfectly that way because I have already tried it. The big flaw with this light is that it does not allow you to open the top and rest it open like you can with an Aqueon, so if you have an Aqueon glass top like I do, you cannot use it. When it comes to feeding times, it is a major pain in the you know what. This is disappointing considering the same manufacturer made it and it seems they didn't bother to actually test it. I am posting this video for a 24x12x12 aquarium btw, so you will most likely experience the same issue with most aquariums. I've been using it on a 40g open top instead, and it.
I'm in love with this light so far! There is a planted tank on the corner of my house that is 5 gallons long. It took me just a few minutes to set up the light tonight, but I have The pros are 2. *br. This amount of light is suitable for a 5 gallon aquarium*2. *Fits well on the rims with plenty of room to spare. This light is easy to mount (screw it in from the inside, not the outside, as it has been noted that people who screw it in from the back will have a lot of difficulties installing it, so I avoided this at the start and ended up having no issues! iii. )*br 3. I like the color of the blue light because it is dark, but light enough to identify edges on my tank. The negatives 2. *br. My fixture hangs forward more than I would like, but I understand that the fixture likely was designed for tanks with wider openings
I don't know what affect it will have on my plants just yet, I'll update in due course!.
That light is really nice! The light-colored, sleek design is a great complement to any room It is simple to attach with the attachment. It can be used on This is a set of 3 I put on my Aqueon 20gal L divided tank - In the beginning I just bought 1 to try it out, then 2 more! (An over-the-tank light is not available) At first I ordered 1 just to see what it was like.
First I bought a light to go along with a shrimp tank kit. used the light on another tank and put heavier lighting over the shrimp tank because I thought the light was not strong enough to support plants for the size of the When I put the Aqueon light back over my tank, I cut the light hours down to 8 hours a day and it improved the outcome. I had way more trouble with algae with my stronger light, so I removed it and gave the plants less light. Therefore, I bought two more and use them on all my tanks now since they have a powerful effect on plants without allowing algae to grow. They have a great deal of appeal to me. It works on all my tanks since it has a screw mounting. With rimless and rimmed tanks, as well as a fluvial chi tank with a light, I have three options. I am very happy with the growth of my plants.
I have a 12" cube tank with this light in it and it is certainly bright enough to grow plants and illuminate The majority of my plants are In addition to Japanese moneywort, pearlweed, and dwarf hairgrass, there are a few more repens. The plants are growing well and all of them are looking good. No problems with lighting on glass (rimless tank), and the light has not shifted in any way. I would not recommend this light for a tank larger than 10 gallons without getting a second one, but for fish and fake plants, it might illuminate a 20 standard, but not a 20 long. *Have a look at the video to see how it works.
So far, this is the best light I have used. As for LED lighting, I'm really into it. There have been many instances where I have spent upwards of There have been no issues that I have found so far with this one.
Although I spilled water on it many times, it still works once I dropped it in water and it popped out, it then worked once dried off once I let it sit and dry even after countless drops of water, it still worked.
