There's a reason why things are so cheap

Let's begin with the readability of the text. It's nearly impossible to tell where the division lines are. As a result, determining whether it's reading at 1 is extremely difficult. 027 or 1. I purchased a standard digital salinity meter from a reputable retailer. The same saltwater is reading at 1 on the digital meter. With the digital meter, there was a 35-ppt calibration fluid. The refractometer was calibrated to the standard, but it read saltwater as 1. 030 and RO/DI water with a concentration of well over 1. After a few more refractometer calibration experiments; There is no way to calibrate it to ensure accurate readings. That's probably why it was on sale in the first place.
