How is this cleaned/sanitized after use with dog urine?

We usually use a disinfection/alcohol pad to clean the prism after the test. Then use a damp soft cloth to wipe it clean. After that, clean the prism with a dry cloth once more. Please store the instrument in a well-ventilated area until it is needed again.

This refractometer has made my life so much easier! Our dog has recently been diagnosed with Central Diabetes Insipidus, and this aids me in keeping track of his urine specific gravity. It's incredibly simple to use and calibrate. I had to look up calibration instructions on the internet because mine were not included in the packaging material. Aside from that, this product is tough and simple to use, and it should last a long time. It accomplishes what it sets out to do.
