Product Description
DUAL-RANGE SCALE REFRACTOMETER --- A salinity balance, or the salt concentration in aquarium water, is required for a healthy saltwater aquarium. The JOR Refractometer measures both salt percentage and specific gravity in your saltwater aquarium or reef tank, making it easier to maintain this important parameter. This measuring tool has a scale range of 0 to 100%, where 1% means one part per thousand (PPT) or 1000 parts per million (PPM) and corresponding specific gravity range of 1, and 000 to 1.
OFFERS ACCURATE MEASUREMENT READING --- Forget about estimating and guessing. Automatic temperature compensation is included in this handy refractometer, allowing for more accurate, faster, and easier readings.
EASY TO USE --- Simply drop 2 to 3 drops of aquarium water onto the glass and close the plastic cover. Hold the eyepiece up to a light source and look through it. Make sure the reading is correct. The precise salinity level is indicated by the blue line.
ALUMINUM ALLOY BODY, RUBBER GRIP, AND ADJUSTABLE FOCUS --- This high-quality, budget-friendly handheld refractometer features an aluminum alloy body, rubber grip, and adjustable focus. It won't corrode, and because it's analog, you'll save money because it doesn't require batteries to operate, so you won't have to buy replacements.
COMPLETE CARE SET --- This portable measuring device is packaged in a hard case for safe storage. It also includes a cloth for wiping down the prism plate. A suction tube, a screwdriver, and a user's manual are also included in the kit as necessary tools for calibration and testing.

What do you think? It works! This one was purchased solely on the basis of its low price
5/5
I figured it was only going to cost me $8 if it didn't work or was inaccurate. But I've used it a few times and compared it to a friend's refractometer, and the results were identical. In the long run, we'll see, but for now, it's working great! It's well-made and includes everything you'll need; simply follow the instructions and you'll get extremely accurate results!.

It needs to be calibrated properly. It's fantastic! To calibrate this, make sure you have a 35ppt seawater calibration standard on hand. If you're looking for a way to test the water in your aquarium, Because seawater is heavier than plain saltwater, calibrating with distilled water, as the instructions suggest, will not provide an accurate reading.

Accuracy has been confirmed

It's simple to read and extremely accurate. If this one breaks, I will definitely buy another. It does, however, appear to be quite long-lasting.

The view has a large crack running through it
3/5
This item appears to be poorly constructed, the calibration is difficult, and there is a large crack in the view glass, making reading even more difficult.
made for a low price It appears to be of poor quality and is easily broken
