Selected User Reviews For Aichose Salinity Refractometer for Seawater and Marine Fishkeeping Aquarium, Saltwater Pool, with ATC Function, Dual Scale: Salinity 0-100‰ and Corresponding Specific Gravity
The outcomes are untrustworthy. This loses calibration so quickly that 1) you must calibrate it with 35ppt calibration solution before every use, and 2) the sample readings you get after calibration are sometimes unreliable. If you're calibrating to 0 ppt with distilled water, you shouldn't trust it at all. I'd only use it if you calibrate to 35ppt with a 35ppt sea water calibration solution right before taking your aquarium test. br>br>I did two tests with the same 35ppt calibration solution - Between tests, clean the equipment with distilled water. and the second test was already drifting 1 ppt lower than the first, and if you've had it sitting for a few hours or a day, you're probably 3 or 4 ppt off from the previous calibration. br>br>I'm guessing it's a good tool if all you want to do is compare your tank water to your water change water, and you'll be testing the tank first, then the water change water, and just seeing if they're the same. But, given how quickly it changes its calibration, I wouldn't put much faith in the actual number reading you get unless you don't mind being off by up to 3 ppt. (Which, in my opinion, is an unacceptably large deviation).
It's simple to read this refractometer. The contrast between the dark blue and white indicator is far superior to anything else in this price range with an "atc" stamped on it.
I really like it.
Everything about this is perfect; it's not too expensive and does the job well.
There isn't any blue or black in this picture. Blue and silver are the predominant colors.
I'd prefer it to be completed sooner. Good all.
