Questions & Answers

Is it impossible to ship to California?

There could be a variety of reasons why they are unable to ship to your location. It could be too cold for the plants to survive, and your state may have restrictions on the types of plants/animals allowed (plants/animals that invade the local eco system are considered invasive). I recommend contacting a local aquarium club to see if they can provide a suitable replacement.

What is the best way to get in touch with the seller? If there is a problem, I'll send an insert, but I don't have any contact information. The plants only lasted a week. Every single one of them has died. ?

I simply went to my orders and clicked on there was an issue with my order, then damaged defective idea. It then asked if I wanted to contact the seller or request a return.

I'm not sure how I'm going to keep these from getting sucked into my skimmer. ?

Their plants are of excellent quality; I made the mistake of putting some in with my bio wheel, which resulted in their destruction. My leftovers are now on my tanks where I only use sponge filters and they're perfect.br>I'm afraid I can't give you a specific answer for your skimmer.

Will any of these plants be able to withstand a winter in Zone 5?

You'd have to bring them in for the winter if you wanted to keep them.

Portion sizes are generous
4/5

mostly. These plants brought me a lot of joy. They appear to be in excellent health. Each plant was packaged in a small zip-top bag. Water Lettuce, Red Root Floaters, and Salvinia came in generous portions, which was nice. There are only two "grievances" I have. " The bags were not labeled, which isn't a big deal because the plants are different enough to tell them apart for the most part (frogbit and lettuce, on the other hand, are extremely similar, so a label would have saved me some time on Google). Another issue is that, while the other three plants came with plenty of extras, my frog bit bag only contained nine individual plants. Again, it's not a big deal because the extra plants offset the "cost" difference, and these plants multiply so quickly that I'll have the missing 3 in a matter of days. In my opinion, this is a fantastic purchase.

It is a good deal
4/5

So, back in February, I took a chance (a big risk) and ordered these. They arrived on a day with temperatures in the 40s, which was fortunate for me. Given the low price, I was willing to take a chance, but let me be clear: it was my choice, not the seller's. I could have easily ended up with a frozen mass of dead botanical goop on my hands. br>br>In any case, the plants arrived in excellent condition and in large quantities. I'd buy these again after tossing the bags into the aquarium water for an hour to let the temperature equalize. br>br>I'd definitely buy these again after tossing the bags into the aquarium water for an hour to let the temperature equalize. br>br>I'd definitely buy these again after tossing the bags into the aquarium water for an hour to let the temperature equalize. br>br>The plants are doing fine after 12 hours. b.

They multiply as they grow
5/5

I was afraid I had just thrown money down the drain based on how they appeared when I arrived. After a few weeks, I've accumulated so much of each of these that I'm forced to discard some. Duck weed, on the other hand, can suffocate frogbit. The frogbits produced shooters in the same manner as the others, but they were recently swallowed up by my pre-existing duckweed. In my aquariums, I use high-powered lights and plant food in the water column, which may be crucial for saving and growing these plants.

Plants are beautiful, and the portions are generous
5/5

Despite the fact that the shipment took longer than expected and I had no idea how the plants would fare, they are looking great so far. The portions were quite large, almost too large for my 10-gallon aquarium. Because their delicate roots can be easily damaged, these plants are notoriously difficult to ship. The Frogbit, on the other hand, began growing new roots almost immediately, at a rate of about an inch per day! The red root floaters are lovely and have arrived fully bloomed. The Spangles have a great look to them. The water lettuce was damaged during shipping, but I put the best of it in the water and it's still alive; these are Amano shrimp-friendly plants. They've been approved, and I'm confident that my betta will enjoy them once he's moved into this tank.

Plants that are in excellent condition- So far, everything has gone well
5/5

Because I don't have any information on the plants' long-term viability, I titled this review So Far, So Good. Three days ago, I got the assortment. Each plant was packaged in its own small plastic bag, with some containing a small moist pad and others omitting it. None of the plants were mushy, dried out, or appeared to be on the verge of dying. I rinsed all of the plants and have them floating in a bucket of de-icer after reading that some buyers discovered hitchhikers with their plants. water that has been chlorinated (not sure if this is a good thing or not) It wasn't necessary to chlorinate, but I figured it wouldn't hurt). When I was rinsing the plants, I didn't notice any hitchhikers. I intend to include them in my 10-point plan. After a weekly water change, I put a gallon Betta tank in today. I know I'll have to thin them out if they do well and start propagating so I can leave some surface area for the Betta, but I think he'll be happy with more floating plants.   br>br>A few regular water lettuce and parrot plants that were in an outdoor water garden last summer are currently in this tank, but they are slowly deteriorating. I'm new to keeping floating plants in an aquarium, so I did some research and came to the conclusion that I needed to upgrade my LED light and begin using a water plant supplement. Because this is a single fish tank, the plants do not receive a large amount of nutrients. I'm going to install an Aqueon Planted Aquarium Clip-On this weekend. I'm going to start using Seachem Florish Water Plant Supplement now that it's on light.   br>br>About this seller, I have no complaints. The product arrived on time and in good working order. My only suggestion/request to the seller if he or she reads this review is to provide more information on how to care for the plants. This would include advice on the best lighting for aquariums, as well as how to fertilize them properly. Although I understand that lighting and fertilization requirements will vary depending on the size of the aquarium and how it is stocked with fish and other plants, having some guidelines on how to care for them should be helpful. I'm hoping that my lighting and fertilizer research and reading reviews will be fruitful. I appreciate how many people write reviews, blogs, and forum posts; there is a lot of information out there, and it can be overwhelming for a "newbie. "   br>br>11/17/2019-11/17/2019-11/17/2019-11/17/2019-11/17/2019-11/17/2019-11/17/2019 When I added these floating plants to my ten-year-old aquarium, I added new lighting and started fertilizing it, as I mentioned in my original review. (Aqueon Planted Aquarium Clip-) a gallon Betta tank on light; Florish Water Plant Supplement (Seachem Florish Water Plant Supplement). All of the plants are doing well and multiplying quickly. I removed about a cup or so of plants last weekend and this weekend to prevent them from completely covering the tank's surface. I wanted to make this update to my review in order to assist others who are looking for more information on the lighting and fertilizer requirements for floating plants. After doing some research, the lighting and fertilizer I chose to use appear to be a winning combination for keeping these plants healthy and reproducing thus far.

Variety was excellent, delivery was prompt, and the food was extremely nutritious
5/5

For a 10-gallon tank, I ordered two sets of these floaters. They arrived in three business days, each variety packaged separately. The two sets of three were just enough to cover the top of a 10-gallon container completely. br>br>All of the plants were in excellent condition, with no melting, wilting, or dead leaves. There were a few longer strands of roots in the frogbit that weren't attached to any leaves, and it took some time to untangle and spread out all of the frogbit's root systems. br>br>The Red Root floaters were the most "unhealthy," with a few leaves wrinkled and roots straggly after a few days in the tank, but they quickly recovered.

Plants of exceptional quality
5/5

Everything arrived in perfect condition. Because the box was slightly warm, there was some minor damage. A certain amount of melting has occurred, which is to be expected. In my tanks, all of the plants have recovered and are looking great. My purchase made me extremely happy.
