Hello Maria, to be honest, Biovessel did not involve with using probiotics. The addition of some will be fine, but we won't suggest you use worms in place of them. A Biovessel is a composting bin designed for worms, and worms do a lot of that work. It's nice to hear from you) Thank

It has a sleek design, is easy to install and works perfectly, no worms have escaped so far and there is no smell to it. The size is a bit small for a family of three, but it DOES reduce our food waste quite a bit. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. We're very happy with it.
There's something I like about this. In any case, I recommend unscrewing the bottom a little bit so that moisture can drain out of it. To catch the liquid, I keep it under the sink in a small baking pan. Composting worms will not be able to live in it if it becomes too wet. I wanted something small, and this fits the bill. The price is a little steep for what you get. A price of no more than $100 would be acceptable This is just plastic with a cork top, and a simple meter that measures acidity and moisture of the soil it can be found at most hardware stores for a reasonable price.
The button was hard to get on, but it was possible to bend it a bit with some force, but even then there were gaps that looked terrible, especially considering the price. I tried getting in contact with the seller but never heard from him, so I'm returning it.
I feel it's overpriced for the features it offers. A very limited list of instructions for how to set up the enclosure and what to feed the animal arrived with the product. It is most definitely essential that you make your own research to ensure this is My main concern is the quality of the enclosure, not the price. There is a gap between the cork lid and the enclosure body, and I have already found three worms crawling all over my countertops within a week of getting the enclosure. Another plastic cap arrived loose and does not fit well on top of the cork cap.
The cons are My Biovessel has been filled with worms for three days and has been in my possession for two months. As much as I try to keep my Biovessel out of direct sunlight and in the coolest part of my apartment, it regularly reaches 95oF here, and it seems that the heat (from what I assume) has warped the lid, so it does not fit anymore. In the end, I came home to worms everywhere, even though I taped the lid down, but I don't think I used enough tape because another hot day came, and it warped even more. You'd think worms could gain at least 11 feet of ground in one day, but they can cover that distance in just 12 hours. As a result, the lid of my sleek and beautiful worm farm has tape all around it. Having to lift my hand to admire the worms in that jar is no longer an option. The good news is that I'm moving soon into a bigger apartment, so I'll be able to replace this worm farm with one. (
So if you live in an area where temperatures don't reach high levels during the day, or if you use air conditioning during the day, this product is probably ideal.
Composting with worms for over 20 years has shown these little creatures produce liquid waste (as do all living creatures). Most composting apparatus have splash plugs, but there may not be one on this device. One does not want to drown these worms!.
