Hello Cassidy, and thank you for asking the I believe this net is an excellent choice for a Betta. This type of aquarium net is actually better for bettas than an aquarium net made of the ropey material, which is difficult on their
The dapophia and moina work well with this.
A finer mesh is not available in dip nets (in a coarse mesh). As it was fine mesh, I chose it so my fish would not be harmed

The fine, very soft netting used in fabric netting is made of fine, long yarn. Despite its fine particles, it is very effective at catching ultrafine particles (such as leftover zucchini). Although the corners of the net can wear out if handled roughly, it is a worthwhile trade off. This net was used by my father in law to clean out leaves clogging up the outdoor water table of my daughter. Corners of the net were ruined because of this. In essence, the review has the following moral You can use the net for relevant purposes, but you need to protect it from your overzealous father in law.
In the details lies the devil. I am not a fan of its design, but it does what it says It is a net for brine shrimp. Despite the fact that I have been in the aquarium hobby for 45 years, I have never seen an individual raising brine shrimp and having a requirement up to this point. Nonetheless, every hobbyist needs a baby brine shrimp (BBS) net at some point, and they can easily be found. In the past few months, my old bbs net has dry rotted, so I have to buy a new one. guess it was a good idea to order this one because I figured this net would also work for a bb. Trying to sieve the culture through this net, I found it was able to pass the entire thing. Unfortunately, I made a mistake as the product is exactly how it is described There is nothing more to add. In the details lies the devil.
However, it does seem to let quite a few brine shrimp through, about ten or so per hour. 15 percent. It's possible that that's just the way things go with creatures that small and I am In general, I strain the liquid over a jar and then re-blend it The escapees will be strained through a coffee filter as I only have a few fish that consume them, so first and foremost I culture small batches in order to save and preserve each one. Nevertheless, if you're culturing in bulk, who cares about one or two escapees.
Newly hatched shrimp were not placed in a mesh that was fine enough for them.
This is the perfect skimmer net and actually better than a big cumbersome one. It gets everything I skim. As I am in the spa, I skim out little flotsam and jetsam. Sundance Spa stays sparkling with this product! It's not good for the filter or water clarity to have hard matter in it. Nothing escapes from the fabric net because of its fineness. It also has a rubbery coating on the handle, which I can tap the handle on My spa doesn't become scratched or marked by the net because it is out on the edge of the spa. It should be a must-have for every hot tub owner. This allows you to skim the water easily both from within and while walking around the outside of the tub.
I'm okay with it. A significant amount of brine shrimp falls through the net, but part of it is caught. The options you have are definitely better than what you have.
The product was purchased to skim excess food out of a 1 1/2 gal aquarium where a fat catfish and betta live. I used it and it worked The metal scoop is gentle enough to use for scooping my betta out of his tank when I need to do so. It's PennPlax, a brand I've used for over 30 years and am familiar with. It is still one of the best products.
The mesh is very fine. Cherry shrimp can be caught with this lure. A little bit of softness is present in the net. A quick PS Microwave this item at no time. This caused the building to catch fire, and it has now been.
