For us, it's been a huge success
5/5

Our dog's teeth were in bad shape when we first got her because it had been a year since her last cleaning, and she is a breed that naturally develops more plaque and tartar. We paid $1600 to have her cleaned by a veterinarian. We sought a solution that would allow us to reduce that cost in the future. And when I discovered these, I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable they are, especially when compared to the more common tooth-cleaning chews. br>br>We've been giving them to her almost every day (we occasionally forget days, but she's usually pretty good at reminding us!). ) And it's been four years since she had her carpets cleaned. When we take our dog in for her annual checkup, the vet is always blown away by how clean her teeth are, and has told us that she doesn't need a cleaning this year and that we should just keep doing what we're doing. br>br>I can't say enough good things about these; they're cheap, and they don't make her sick (a big box store brand made her sick!). ) and has kept her teeth so clean that the vet isn't paying for our dog's dental bills with their own money. br>br>I'm not a fan of the scent; it's not overpowering, but neither is it particularly "fresh. " I'm not noticing a difference in the smell of dog breath. However, I can imagine how bad her breath would smell if she had plaque and tartar buildup on her teeth, as well as goop. It could be a lot worse, so I'll take the dog breath, thank you very much. She's a dog, after all. Stick with chews that have been tested and approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) because these products have actually been tested and shown to reduce tartar. Start giving these to your dog after a meal after your dog's next cleaning. (Because our dog only eats once a day, she gets these after she eats, which is probably a big part of why her teeth stay so clean. ) And you must give these almost every day for them to work, or the tartar will become too difficult to remove with the chew. These types of treats are also a bad idea for your dog if he or she is a voracious eater who wolfs down food, takes large bites, or swallows things whole, according to vet advice. They'll most likely chomp on a large chunk. You'll have to come up with a different way to brush. br>br>I hope this information is useful to people who are trying to do the best they can for their dogs' dental health but are unsure which product to use.

These dental treats are a big hit with my dogs
5/5

Version for small breeds. I have two 20-pound dogs, one of whom is a picky eater. They adore this dental treat, which they anticipate every night before bedtime, and I've been using it for nearly two years. I used to buy them at PetSmart and Target, but they don't stock large quantities of small breeds there anymore. In addition, I'd like to point out that the new packaging is vastly superior. I had to use resealable containers because it used to have a cheap velcro-looking bag that fell apart. It's now made of a nice heavy-duty material with a strong ziploc seal. I am looking forward to using this product in the future.

Veterinary cleaning is a more affordable option
5/5

I am the mother of a sixteen-year-old daughter. She is an old black lab mix with excellent teeth. But now that she is arthritic and elderly, I am apprehensive about putting her under anesthesia for a simple dental cleaning. She won't touch any chew toys for dog toothbrushes because she doesn't chew, and her muzzle is very sensitive, so she won't let me brush her teeth because she doesn't chew. She can also be a picky eater, so not all treats will appeal to her. I bought these because they were well-reviewed, reasonably priced, and I knew she liked Milkbone biscuits. They were a hit with her! I give her one every day, and I've already noticed her teeth are whiter and she has less tartar after only a week. I'm very happy with them, and I intend to keep purchasing them. The only disadvantage is that the bag can be difficult to seal, but you can always dump them into a Ziplock bag and use that instead.

There were no problems with my stomach
5/5

Our dog's stomach is extremely sensitive. Every other brand of dental chews causes him to have stomach problems for a day or two. We gave up for a while due to our lack of success. I came across these on Amazon's Daily Deal and decided to try them. First and foremost, there are approximately six packages. When the box arrived, I was taken aback by the number of small bags inside. They'll stay fresh until we need them, at the very least. Second, and most importantly, our canine companion will not experience any stomach issues. He enjoys them, and they don't make him sick. They also help him breathe better. "Why haven't you put these in your cart yet?" is all I'm asking.

They did assist him in brushing his teeth and breathing
4/5

These treats are a big hit with my dog! br>br>They also aid in the control of plaque buildup on his teeth. After about a month of using these, I noticed that his teeth were looking better. Actually, I was skeptical, but the proof is in how much better his teeth look after giving him these treats twice a day—I break them in half despite the fact that they are minis because he is a small dog. br>br>Of all the treats I've tried, these are one of his favorites, along with DreamBone kabobs. The DreamBone, on the other hand, does not use these to clean his teeth. The cost is extremely reasonable. br>br> br>br>As long as my lil Bear is happy, I'm happy! And I'm relieved that his teeth (and breath!) are in good shape. ) are more effective when used on a regular basis.

All three toy poodles became extremely ill as a result of this
3/5

Our three Toy Poodles were all sick, with "throwing up and very watery Diarrhea"! I had to take them to the vet and get them some medicine to calm them down. I knew it was this product because the only thing they'd eaten before this was Eukanuba Dry Food, and I tried it again a week later and got the same reaction. Both times, the boys suffered from severe stomach pains, gas, vomiting, and watery diarrhea. Never again, please! I would have returned them if I hadn't already placed the treats in a glass container and discarded the bag. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, Horrible.
