If there were two bags, it would say two 12 oz. bags. If it says 24 oz. on the label, that's what you'll get. It's a single 24-ounce bag. As a result, you only need to purchase one bag.
Each piece measures approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter. long- 1 1/2 inches wide- and it's about a quarter of an inch thick These can be easily broken and dismantled into smaller pieces. These aren't nearly as difficult to break as a regular piece of beef jerky. I hope your pet has as much fun with them as we have.
I purchased both the 24 oz. and the smaller 12 oz. packages of chicken jerky. Both lists had the same ingredients: Are you comparing identical products, such as chicken, dried cane molasses, vinegar, and rosemary extract?

UPDATED: 11/7/20br>When I noticed my dog scratching a lot after eating these snacks, I assumed there was something wrong with them. She did, however, vomit once in a while. When I called the vet, they told me that the majority of the time, when they see a lot of itching and digestive upset in dogs, they find out they're allergic to chicken. I didn't think my dog was allergic to chicken, so I had an allergy test done on her at the holistic vet. She was allergic to chicken, salmon, carrots, pumpkin seeds, and rice, to name a few foods I had been cooking and feeding her on a daily basis. As a result, I switched her to a beef-based diet, and she seemed to notice a significant improvement. My parents, who had digestive problems with their dogs, switched them to beef and saw a significant improvement. Hopefully, it will continue to work for our pups. I just wanted to provide an update in case anyone else's pups have been experiencing a lot of itching or digestive issues. If they eat chicken, you should also consider the possibility that they are allergic to it. We never would've guessed that was the case. I hope you find this review useful. br>br>ORIGINAL REVIEW: br>As you can see in the photos, I started soaking these in water for about 15 minutes before breaking them down into smaller pieces and giving them to my sweet puppy. It takes about that long for the chicken jerky strips to soften enough to break into smaller pieces, according to my experience. As a result, I determined that this would be the best option. Because she eats them so quickly, this is a safer option for her. br>I'll also put them in her homemade dog food if I can't get her to eat her own food. My dog has had a sensitive stomach for years, and no matter what food I bought or how expensive it was, she would vomit almost every time she ate. As a result, I began to cook for her. For those who are having similar problems with their beloved dogs, here is a recipe to try: )br>br>Prepare a batch of homemade dog food: 2 cups frozen green beans, 2 cups chopped fresh carrots, 2 cups cooked sliced chicken (I sometimes boil a pound of boneless chicken thighs and use the meat while adding the broth to the veggie combo instead of water), 2 cups frozen sweet peas, 1 can organic pinto beans, 1 tbsp chia seeds, and a small amount of water (or the natural chicken broth) in a separate large pot Cover and steam for about 15 minutes on medium, stirring occasionally to avoid sticking or overcooking. br>When the vegetables are done, I mix them in with the rice. Feed the dog twice a day by placing them in airtight containers. I hope your dog has a good time with it!.
*update - I've been buying these treats for a long time, and they were initially delicious, and my dog was overjoyed. I've been having problems with these 'jerky' treats for several months now because they are no longer consistent. Originally, and when freshest, they are more tender, bendable, jerky-like, and there was an aroma, almost like chicken bacon, when the bag was first opened. They then began to be inconsistent. The entire bag would be lighter in color, crisp and hard, and have almost no scent or aroma. They are too dangerous for my dog to handle. I returned them a few times and was thankfully sent a replacement that was of acceptable quality one of the times. It's becoming a major pain. Is this company lacking in quality control? When I'm lucky enough to find them in a local store, I can at least tell if they're hard by looking through the clear part of the package and squeezing the bag, but that's impossible with mail. My girl is a picky eater who refuses to eat most treats, so they aren't always easy to come by locally. I've sunk a lot of money into research and development. I wish Amazon would inform the company about this problem. I've emailed them, but all they've responded with is coupons. br>br>These are a big hit with my Shih Tzu, who is a picky eater. We buy them on a regular basis because she only eats two snacks, one of which is this. My only criticism is that the jerky's quality does not seem to be consistent. When they're at their best, which is when my daughter is the happiest with them, they're not crisp or crunchy; instead, they're like regular jerky. semi-rigid and bendable Sometimes, but not always, I can tell by looking through the clear part of the bag. It's clear as soon as you open them. When they're good, or fresh, as I'm guessing, the aroma when you open the bag is actually savory, Lol. The aroma of freshly roasted chicken skin comes to mind. It smells fantastic. They snap in half rather than tear when they aren't up to par. Crisp and hard. It's as if they've lost their luster. br>Extremely aggravating and depressing. I spend $14 when I buy something. I expect quality and consistency when I spend 00 on a small bag of dog treats instead of the cheaper treats available. I've bought bags and had to throw them away because she'll only eat them on rare occasions when she realizes she's not getting anything better. My wallet and my dog are both in bad shape! I'm on disability, but my dog is family, and I'm not going to cut corners when it comes to her happiness. I also refuse to purchase jerky from China. Others made in the United States have been tried, but she refuses to try them. Extremely spoiled and obstinate. They need to improve their quality control in order to save money. When it happened the first time, she refused to eat them, so I sent an email, and they sent me a free replacement bag as well as coupons. They also included a pre-paid padded envelope and requested that I return what was left of the defective ones so that they could figure out what was wrong. That was fantastic. I used to be pleased with the customer service, but it seems to be happening more frequently now. I suppose I'll have to start returning them all at some point. It didn't appear to be very effective. Is this something that other people have noticed?.
I bought a couple of bags of these goodies. I've never had a mold problem like others have, but these treats that my dogs adore caused them both to have very loose stools. Everything has returned to normal since I stopped giving these treats. I'm not sure what's in them, but they're too strong for both of my Lab/Border Collie mix dogs. I'm going to have to toss these goodies out. If your dog has diarrhea, you should stop giving him treats and see if that helps.
It was a long swath of plastic wrapped around the treat! What kind of harm could have resulted from this? I'd rather not think about it!.
more than half-filled with fine crumbs I've been purchasing these for my dog for quite some time and have always been pleased with them. The bag of fine crumbs I received was more than half full. These treats aren't cheap, and I can't give my dog crumbs that weigh half as much as the entire bag. Amazon is replacing it for free, and I'm hoping it's a one-time occurrence. My dog adores them, and up until now, I've been content with them.
Materials produced in the United States of America. They are extremely popular among dogs. After returning indoors from their potty break, my pups get their "breakfast chickens" first thing in the morning. I’am’very wary of dog treats made of chicken, but’this is made in the USA and’claims to be 100% human grade edible. I've noticed that determining the origins of dog treats is becoming increasingly difficult. Many will claim to be *assembled* in the United States (with raw materials from other countries) or *distributed* from a US location. I've been using this product for years and have never had any issues with my dogs, so I'm going to stick with it. They're also a big hit with my dogs. (Each day, they are given half a treat. ).
