This batch, on the other hand, has made her sick on numerous occasions. I first noticed something was off when I opened the bag and saw that the treats were a brighter orange color than usual. I had no idea what was going on. br>br>The first day I got the bag, I gave my dog two treats, and the next morning she vomited a yellow/orange bile with bites of the treats in it. I assumed she had over-played and her stomach had simply rejected it that morning. br>br>Later that day, I gave her a couple more treats, and she threw up similar bile in her bed, and she didn't eat her regular food for 24 hours, resulting in diarrhea. br>br>In the past, I would have recommended these treats, but I believe we received a bad batch this time. It might be worth the company's time to investigate the production lot I bought. I tossed the rest of the bag in the trash.
Now that the stuff has dried out and snaps like a twig IF you can snap them, my two Chow Chows loved them. My kitchen shears couldn't cut through it because it was so tough, even though they cut through gristle and thin bones. I bought two bags to have one on hand in case the first one dried out, so I opened the second bag and it was just as bad! I even tried soaking three pieces in plain water to see if they would rehydrate, but they didn't. These look like wood slabs. I'm not going to give my Chows anything! I NOW SEE THESE CAN'T BE RETURNED TO AMAZON! So now I'm out $60 and I'm not happy about it. WHY DOESN'T AMAZON MAKE IT CLEAR ON ITEMS THAT THEY CAN'T BE RETURNED? I'd be grateful if the manufacturer or seller could contact me via Amazon. THIS IS INCOMPLETELY INCOMPLETELY INCOMPLETELY INCORRECT.
My chitzu chitzu chitzu chitzu chi It was a hit with the mix dog, but he became "sad" after a few days, hiding under the bed and passing blood. We contacted the manufacturer because some chunks refused to dissolve and came out sharp and hard. There was no reply at all. Similar symptoms were observed in a small dog belonging to a friend. BUYING FOR A SMALL DOG IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!.
We always try to purchase these dog treats ahead of time. On the 29th of April, I made a purchase. Today is May 27th, which is two days shy of the thirty-first day of the month. br>There are moldy treats in the bag. We had bought these before without too much of an issue (one time they appeared to be overcooked) but one of our pups would not eat them while the other would. br>Expensive mistake on our part. We will not feed the product in this bag to our puppies because it is contaminated with mold.
Update: The subscription to the monthly newsletter has been cancelled. These were excellent, but the last two bags have been disastrous. The strips are so dry that they can be cracked open with your hands. They used to be a little chewy. They are no longer eaten by our dogs (two huskies and one akita). br>br>Simple treats that only require two ingredients: Glycerin from vegetables and chicken They have no sugars, salts, or other additives, and they're tough enough to give our huskies something to chew on for a few minutes. They've grown tired of every other snack we've bought, but they still enjoy these two years later. For the past three years, I've been doing this three times a day. I've never had an issue with indigestion. They smell like real cooked chicken, which is a refreshing change from the smell of some dog treats. These are available to subscribers on a monthly basis. I've saved them and will continue to get them as long as they're available.
I've been buying these products for years and have always been pleased with their freshness and high quality, but this time was a complete letdown. Packaging is new, and the quality is poor. The pieces were incredibly thin and difficult to work with. The product appears to be outdated. Until now, the pieces had been damp and easy to break. My dog isn't a fan of them. There is no longer any baying.
These treats were purchased and given to my dogs, who both became ill as a result. Their urine and stool both contained blood. Two breeds of dogs. This was the only thing that changed in their diet. We haven't gone to Costco in months due to the coronavirus. It's been six years since I purchased these. They were fine eight months ago; my beagle was lethargic, and my chorkie had recovered. Because of the similar views, Amazon informed me that this product would be removed. There has to be a solution to this. I don't want any more dogs to become ill. Now I make my own desserts. It's simple to dehydrate in the oven, and you can be confident that they're done correctly.
IF YOU HAVE A SMALL DOG, BE ON THE LOOKOUT. We've been buying this product for the past four years. Our two new rescue dogs (a German Shepard and a Golden Retriever) have been adoring them for the past five months. large females The final stool from a few days ago (when we finally targeted the problem) was bloody with sharp chunks of jerky in it, but this last bag has given them extreme diarrhea (we eliminated EVERYTHING else). Both of them felt compelled to flee almost immediately after receiving the treat (within 30 minutes). I have no idea what the hell is in these ostensibly made in the United States treats, but we are having samples analyzed by a neighbor's biotech lab this week and will be getting a full refund. Our big dogs are fine, but if you have a small dog, DO NOT SERVE THESE TREATS AS THE SYMPTOMS CAN BE DEATHLY.
