No, I do not believe that is true. According to the label, the only ingredient is beef pizzle.

I had the misfortune of feeding these bully sticks to my golden retriever, who was two years old at the time. Within hours, she had developed severe walking-related problems. farts. We walked two miles. Every step for the next 5 miles was accompanied by her butt hiss. Worse yet, when we returned home, she began profusely purging her anal glands in every room of the house, rendering it uninhabitable for several hours. In conclusion, unless you want your house to smell like a wet bull fart, I do not recommend feeding these to your dog or any other animal. If you feed these to a Saint Bernard, may God protect your soul.
Although I have tried a few other brands in an attempt to save money, I will continue to use Cadet bully sticks because I have never been disappointed with them. Is there a whiff of something? Without a doubt. Given the nature of bully sticks, there will always be an odor, but I believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The Cadet sticks, in comparison to other brands I've tried, have a milder odor. My dog is only allowed to chew on bully sticks; she is a voracious chewer, and the 6 inch sticks last no more than 15 minutes at most; however, I know that this type of chewing action is good for her teeth and helps keep her teeth clean. She is extremely picky about treats, often refusing even those she enjoys, but she is always overjoyed when she receives one of her bully sticks. I wish they weren't so costly, but I believe the Cadet Bully Sticks provide valuable benefits!.
We've been buying Cadet Bully Sticks from the bin at our local hardware store. We usually get the ones that are over a foot long. At $6-$7, it appears to be a bit pricey. Each stick costs $7, but it's well worth the money because it lasts several days. We decided to try the same bring-in-the-bag method because it appeared to be a bit less expensive. In less than an hour, our little dog ate three of these in one sitting (three times). gone. I figured it was a fluke the first time or two, but when she devoured another this morning, I decided to write a review and contact the company to see what they could do. These aren't as thick or durable as the ones we get from the hardware store. Our little Havashit (Havashi) is a bit of a chewer, but at only 12 pounds, I can't imagine what a larger dog could get up to! Be careful who you buy from. Cadet makes some excellent products, but this one fell far short of our expectations. After the quarantine period is over, it's time to go back to the hardware store.
The first couple of orders were exactly what I had hoped for: nice slab sticks for my dogs to chew on and keep them occupied. They now have a couple of high-quality sticks with these air bubble thin pieces that last my dogs for less than a minute. I'm not impressed at all, and I'm going to look for work elsewhere.
They were chewed up and swallowed by our three-month-old lab puppy (!). ) in as little as 20 to 30 minutes! That is of no use to anyone! Lifes Abundance had previously provided us with Bully Sticks, which lasted longer than a day! When he wasn't chewing, this provided some downtime for the puppy and some relaxation for the owners. Cadet's Bully Sticks were a waste of money! Make sure you don't throw your money away. I would have given it zero stars if I could.
I despise the odor and the price, but she comes out on top! It stinks and it's pricey, but my dog adores it! I can't tell you how bad they smell or how expensive they are, but they keep my dog occupied for hours at a time and make her go insane when I ask if she wants a bully treat. If you have a lot of money to spend on treats and don't mind a strong odor, these are the ones for you and your dog. My boxer is a high-energy dog.
I had no idea how much 12 ounces of bully sticks would weigh, but it's a substantial amount. I'm very pleased with the amount of product for the price, and I'll be purchasing this brand in the future. Excellent value for money!.
My dogs go crazy for these, and they usually keep them occupied for an hour or more! We only give them out in the back yard because of the odor, but I know they help keep their teeth clean (and it's easier to give them than brushing their teeth because my dogs squirm a lot). At our house, we'll definitely keep these on hand.
