Questions & Answers
Each bag contains six pig ears.
Pig ears don't last very long, especially if your dog is a chewer. However, because they are significantly larger and thicker than most others, they last at least twice as long as any others I've purchased.
6 Large Pig Ears in their Whole Form
In the picture on the left, there are six whole pig ears in the bag.

Before I discovered Lucy's, I had spent 00 on pigs ears! They were all made in the United States and had a plastic smell. Lucy's was the only one my dog would touch, and she was better than Brutus and Banaby's! These smelled fantastic and had a smoky flavor. They were thick and well worth the money. I only buy the best for my dog, and these are top of the list! I'm not sure how I'm going to get my dog to eat something that smells like plastic. Lucy's deserves a big thank you. I squandered a lot of money, but I was confident that there was better out there. I knew I'd eat them the moment I saw the first bag! Brutus, PLEASEEEEEE MAKE CRUNCHY CHICKEN DOG JERKY. They increased their price by a factor of two. I will not pay the sum of 62 dollars. For a 32-ounce bag, you'll have to pay 00! Make these, as well as jerky and whatever else you want, and I'll buy it! From the bottom of my heart, Anthony, my doggie rescue. He lived at the shelter for the majority of his life! 10 years.
A total of $20 was spent on six ears, none of which were longer than 5" in length. Look at the image. "HUGE Whole Pig Ears," according to the product description, is a lie. At $2. They should be at least the 8' ears I'm used to buying for 70 dollars each. I try to buy American processed foods rather than Chinese, but my usual supplier's product is "unavailable," so I thought I'd give these a shot. My Irish Wolfhounds loved them for the 5 minutes it took them to gnaw through them because of the nice packaging, a brown paper bag with no fuss. As a result, I'm going to make an exception for them. I'd give them a higher rating if they were half the price, but claiming to be a huge size and then delivering a small package is insufficient. Or it could be sincere.
However, the product was nicely packaged and reeked of real food. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Our 95-pound Doodle has an artificial turf dog run where he spends his time after breakfast and dinner until he has to go to the bathroom. After feeding him these treats, I was alarmed to see large pieces of slimy pig ear in his stool. This way, we can monitor stool size and color and keep on top of potential health/digestive issues. I couldn't figure out what it was at first, but then I noticed a large piece that was clearly the triangular tip of an ear. When I told our vet about it, she advised me against feeding the pig's ears. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this issue, but I'm not going to buy anything else from them.
I don't claim to be an expert on pig ears, but I do have a few references to offer. For the sake of my dogs, I'll translate. These are extremely popular with them. The ones they've tried so far have been greasy, smell like formaldehyde or other chemicals, and haven't been smoked. I put the taste test to the test with my hounds, laying down a couple at a time, and they always go for the Lucy's. The smell is the first thing I notice when I open the bag. These have a smoked, not cured, or worse, odor. They're light and dry, but still tough and chewy, so they'll last a long time. I'm about to place an order, which is why I'm writing this review. You're not going to be let down. Take a look at the video I just put up. This is the real deal!.
I'd pay $6 in Wal-Mart for some ears. Mart that are supposedly natural, made in the United States, and contain no added chemicals, but are half the thickness, if not more. Furthermore, there is the Wal-Mart. Mart ones have a gas-like odor, as if they used it to preserve the bag. This brand has a meaty aroma when you open it. My dog refuses to eat the Wal-Mart bag of dog food. She won't eat the mart ones until they've sat outside the bag for a while; this brand, on the other hand, she'll devour.
My dog's name is Bob Hope, and he was rescued three years ago. He is the most wonderful guy I know, and he is my best friend. I am constantly trying to find things for him, both toys and treats, and I have tried many different treats, but his favorite treat of all is. I like Lucy's Top Choice pig ears because they don't stink and I never have to pick them up because he eats them all. I also like that they are made in the United States. I've ordered from them nine times and will continue to do so. After all, they are due to my best friend. Thank you for keeping our food fresh and packaged in high-quality bags. May God bless you and keep you safe. Mrs. Wilson, if you're reading this, you're probably wondering what I'm talking about.
The dog, on the other hand, adores them. I will add that after doing some research on these types of products, I believe they should be given infrequently and under close supervision because your pet may not fully chew them and may choke on pieces (I had to pull one out of my dog's throat one day). Additionally, some dogs' tummies may be sensitive, and a blockage may occur. Giving should be done with caution. Better to be safe than sorry, so I'm calling it quits.
Salmonella was a concern for me, so I sought out products made in the United States. Salmonella is also killed instantly at temperatures above 160 degrees Fahrenheit, according to what I've read. I simply cover a baking sheet with foil and bake a pig ear at 350 degrees for about 2 minutes, then let it cool before giving it to him. I've already placed an order for a second bag.
