Questions & Answers
Hello, Babe, I'm a wild and free pig. Is it okay if I cut off your ear and give it to a dog to chew on? Yes? Please accept my heartfelt gratitude, sir!
Larger dogs will benefit from the bully stick the most. A cow ear takes a little longer for my German Shepherd to get through than a pig ear. So I'd say the pig ear is the shortest, followed by the cow ear, and finally the bully stick. If you have a small dog, any of the three will last longer than the partially chewed parts. We have half pig ears, pig ear slivers, cow ear slivers, and even bully nuggets for smaller dogs as a result. This way, you won't have a house full of partially slobbered-on treats for days on end. I hope this has been of assistance.
Pig ears are an excellent option among the many natural chews available. They're a chew that's both dry and tasty, and your dog will go crazy for them. They aid in the cleaning of her teeth, the strengthening of her gums, and the exercise of her jaw.

They're a big hit with my dogs. I'm picky about what I give my dogs because I work in the veterinary field. I want it to be safe, with no added chemicals or choking/teeth hazards, and to keep three high-energy dogs (two pit mixes and a border collie mix) entertained and QUIET for at least a short time. If it can also help clean their teeth, that's an added bonus. So, after going through half of the bag, these are my thoughts. Advantages: br>br> • THEY ARE LARGE. This was what really sold me after reading the reviews, and it's true: these are much larger than what you usually see, and they keep my dogs (even my most leisurely chewer) occupied for much longer than most treats. br>• No odor - Certainly none that I could detect when I stuffed a dead pig's ear almost up my nose: ))) I haven't detected any odors from them, even when they chew. • It's not a sloppy situation. There are no tiny pieces that break off, and there is no evidence unless you have a drooly dog, but that isn't the product's fault. br>• No chemical additives, all natural Many treats sold on Amazon and online make dogs sick, cause diseases, and cost owners a lot of money in vet bills and grief, so always read the reviews! These aren't chemically enhanced and come straight from the pig. br>• Safer than rawhides, and not as hard as rawhides. Even if your dog manages to swallow a large piece, these will break down rather than continue to absorb moisture and bloat in your dog's stomach, but even my 60lb dog, who loves to swallow anything and everything, was only able to gnaw smaller pieces off of these. I'd say these are suitable for dogs of any size. br>• The gang adores them. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, who Who's got the tennis ball? Who's the chicken here? well. These are their favorite dog treats, despite the fact that they prefer chicken. They have given it a five-star rating. br>br>They also claim that these promote dental health, which may be true to a degree, but these, like any other treat, will not replace the need for brushing or getting their doggie dentals, but hey, any help is better than none. br>br>Cons (there is only one! )br>• They're a little on the pricey side. I've seen even more expensive items for sale on Amazon, but they're probably not half as big as these. Although I can get pig ears for $1 at my local pet supply store, these are significantly larger and take my pups significantly longer to finish, so it's worth it to me to pay nearly $2 per ear for a little more peace and quiet. I'm still hoping they'll lower the price or offer a deal on the 25ct bag, because I'd buy it in a heartbeat. br>br>I'll buy these again, and I'm planning on adopting only smaller dogs in the future so that when I get these, they'll take even longer to finish. For the time being, my 30, 40, and 60-pound dogs will continue to enjoy them and devour them in 15 minutes, and I'll cross my fingers and hope that pigs grow even larger so that I can have even more quiet time in the future.
When given a choice between these and another treat, my dogs choose these. Because my dogs are small (four Chihuahuas and one Pomeranian), I use wire cutters to cut the treats into smaller pieces. My dogs will chew for a long time before returning to the treat; I cut one ear into five decent-sized pieces so that they would last longer. I store them in an airtight container in my pantry. Mold or spoilage of the treats has never been an issue for me. The scent isn't overpowering, but it does have a pleasant aroma. These are something I would strongly suggest. Of course, only use as directed and not as a meal replacement. They're also a great deal.
Every couple of months, I used to order these pig ears for my dog, who loved them! After the recent salmonella recall on pig ears, we hadn't had any for quite some time, so I was thrilled to see them back in stock recently and immediately ordered a bag. These pig ears make my dog sick, so he can't eat them. He is overjoyed to be given a new one, but he can only eat half of it before going outside to throw it away. He refuses to eat the other half, so I believe it's the pig ear that's making him sick. Anyway, like a moron, I finally realized it was the ears and not something else after the sixth ear - As a result, we'll either return or toss this bag, and we won't be ordering from this company again. I'm not sure if Brutus and Barnaby changed how they make the ears since the recall, or if this was a particularly old batch they saved. Thank you, but no thanks.
My picky Great Pyrenees are ear connoisseurs, and just saying the word "ears" makes them go CRAZY! Fast shipping and a high-quality product that is well worth the money. Finally, a dependable product from a company that appears to be concerned about your pets.
He's a 40-pound, 16-week-old big puppy who needs a lot of treats to learn. Out of all the high-value treats he has (i. e. He prefers this product above all others (steak, chicken meatballs), and the individual pig ears are HUGE! It's bigger than my hand, and it comes in handy when I need my dog to be distracted for a long period of time, such as when I'm crate training or bathing him. My dog suffers from separation anxiety, but with this product, he seems to be more concerned with the treats than with my departure! When I step away, it has truly saved our household/neighbors from the constant whining and howling. Bathing is still a new experience for my dog, but this treat made it a lot easier and more enjoyable for both the owner and the dog. BRUTUS, you have saved our sanity. BARNABY! P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. This is the genuine article. The veins and arteries of the pig ear can be seen when I hold it up to the light. Then I hear pig squeals and imagine a slaughterhouse (sorry, Vegans). It's all pork ears here! The scent also makes me crave pork rinds, which makes my mouth water. I wish I could eat this like my dog!.
As a result, I fully acknowledge that this is a massive undertaking for my Coton de Tulear puppy. But this picky chewer DESTROYS some chews, puking them up, eating them in 5 seconds, or becoming bored with them. br>br>I've never seen him so enthusiastic about food before; he adores them! br>br>And what about his teething? This is a huge lifesaver! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! br>br>.
A big bag of giant, crunchy ears used to be of really good quality. The final four bags were smaller and more squishy. My dog went from devouring every morsel to leaving half-eaten food on the table. ears that have been chewed. Getting so many low-quality bags in a row was not worth it for the price. Definitely disappointed because these were fantastic at first!! I kept buying them in the hopes that it was a one-time occurrence, but I'm tired of squandering money.
