Questions & Answers

There are a few things I don't understand in the description Is the rod still going to click when it ?

Having the rod extend out of the handle is convenient. An integral part of the handle is the clicker button. No matter how much or how little you extend the rod, the button still clicks. While I use it closed (rod closed) when I am up close to my cat, I extend it as soon as he walks across the room. It is highly recommended that you use this clicker when training your cat. It's time for him to give us high fives now!

There's a cockapoo in my house that sometimes refuses to walk on a Would it be okay to attach a treat to the end of the stick to entice him?

A target is intended to be made out of this stick. If you see Karen Pryor's books on clicker training, you would teach your dog to touch the end of the stick to get a treat or a click. He will want to touch the end of the stick to get a click and a treat, so you can use the stick as a target for him. Training a dog is what that is all about. In order to achieve the results you are looking for, you can easily put peanut butter on the end of a wooden spoon and not bother with the training. If your dog comes along and smells a peanut butter or a treat, that dog might try to lick it. Hope you have a good day

I'm not sure how target training works, but I think it sounds fun. Would you be able to tell me how I can obtain ?

In addition to the books mentioned above, there are several excellent books on clicker training Click to Calm by Emma Parsons has excellent clicker training, it is labeled as aggression training, but it is actually excellent clicker training for ANY dog. Click Up, Frantic, and Freaked Out by Laura VanArendonk Baugh also has excellent clicker training.

This Clik Stik comes with a warranty period, how long is it?

had to send mine back since I'm not sure what it was about. There were a lot of problems with it

I love it! Is it possible to train cats with clickers? The fact is, I've never thought of it before, but it is certainly possible! You can do this for your guests to prove that your cats really are trained)
5/5

It's off to them and they're learning. In a slow and deliberate manner. I am not certain if "staying" is in the cards for us, but they seem to enjoy the "game" a lot This works great, especially when we use the turkey cold cuts. There's a book that's available, but you may be just as content spending time looking online. This tool is a great buy because it has the extension wand attached to the clicker. This is such a great idea!.

I'd really like to find one that After my trainer's strong suggestion and a training session with hers at the training center, I decided to I ordered this when I got home from work
3/5

A combo with a pointer and arrow An even easier training program would be provided by a clicker. Here's how it happens The order arrives & After we had a bad clicker, we did the easy return by taking it to our local UPS store. Our new one arrived two days later! It's as easy as pie. That's right! Not at all. This is the second one that arrived with the same problem. One more time. When I took it back to UPS, it took three weeks to receive a credit, the replacement did not arrive, and it was cancelled. Upon canceling, Amazon returns the entire order to the customer. You will need to get a proof of return receipt if you choose the UPS Easy Return system. It is inevitable that things will go wrong from time to time.

Cats love it - I've been using it Generally it works well and is not too loud but small would be nice
5/5

This has been a period of change for us all due to the pandemic. The major source of entertainment has been trying to determine whether or not my cats can be trained. They are. Here is a hint They are. Clicker was recommended as a good one for cats, it is not as loud as some, and very sturdy (our cats have already tried to gnaw on it because the treats appear when the clicker comes out, so the clicker must be full). The fact that the length can be adjusted is awesome. I actually find that the little ball at the end of the stick draws more attention from our cats than my hand gestures do. The number of times I've grabbed my finger at them certainly doesn't make sense. that I wish for is a smaller version of this. As it is so large, it sticks out of my hand, and I would rather that the cats listen to it and watch my other hand instead. Most of it I already knew, so I only needed to purchase it with that in mind. The solution to this is not the clicker's fault, it is caused by hand size and incompetence, not by the clicker itself. I would love to buy a more compact version of the camera, if you're reading this Karen Pryor. Any questions Here is what you need to know It is possible to train the cats. A high five, an over, an up, a sit, a here, and a circle are some of their must-know phrases. cats or perhaps being spoilt cats, they will only do these actions when it is convenient to them and they know we will reward them for it.

Buying an open box is not a good idea
3/5

piece of equipment was supposed to be "new, open box," but it showed clear signs of being used, dirty, and the target was Before using it, I had to sanitize There's only one reason I won't be returning it, and that's because returning it would be more hassle than it would be The brand new option is the best to purchase if you intend to buy one of these. Because they are not sturdy, they are definitely not bound to last very long if they are used. It would be nice if there were more options for these extendable clicker targets, but this one is still the best.

As a gift, I received this Clik Stik, which I have loved since the first time I used it
5/5

In my work as a photographer, my pet dog is always my #1 subject. Having a camera in hand and cookies in hand makes it very hard to also be able to guide him into posing on an object, but one day I will figure it out. It took my dog a matter of minutes to pick it up, but now he gets excited when I do. As a result, he is more excited for our photo shoots, and it aids ease in our photo sessions. As far as I am concerned, this product is I've had no problems with my dog running into it when he's really excited and it has held up very well so far. I have left it outside in the rain, stepped on it, and have otherwise been rather careless with it, and it still works as well as it did on the first day I had My only concern is why I didn't buy this product sooner! The click is loud enough, the stick is long enough, and my only concern is why I didn't buy it Designed to give owners a fun way to bond with their dogs and teach them some new tricks, this product is highly recommended. The tricks I have taught my dog have not just been aimed at getting him onto objects but going under them, as well as several tricks to make him easier to In a flash he was to me as soon as he saw it.

Cats love to bite at this target
4/5

Despite daily use, it holds up. I have taught both my cats tricks with clicker training, and it is fun for me as well. Better than chasing a feather while you pull a string while trying to catch it until you This clicker target stick I got from Amazon is very useful for training cats. I used the 'trick training for cats' book with this stick and it was very effective. The clicker is not too loud, easy to press, and very dependable. Although the wand part is wobbly, it hasn't come apart and I've seen my fur kids chew, pull, and slap the target while we learn to use it. The wand part is also expanded and contracted repeatedly during our play time - but not as far out as I thought I was going Due to the wobble, I just wanted to make sure. The system is holding up quite well. It is recommended. In the event that this one ever broke, I would definitely get another one, but it is relatively expensive.

It's not possible to click on any of the buttons on this product
3/5

Unfortunately, it arrived damaged. Additionally, it comes in a package with a "try me" window that allows you to try it before you open the box. In other words, the seller could have discovered that the product doesn't even work before shipping it, and picked up a different one that actually works. As to the other kicker, I read several reviews before I bought it, and I noticed that many people complained that the clicker was too soft or did not work. In spite of this, the overall rating of this item was so positive that I decided to take the risk. This isn't smart. It seems that either the manufacturing process or design is inconsistent, and the seller doesn't bother to check the product's functionality before sending it I hate you! It was edited to add I removed all the screws from the handle and took it apart, then reassembled it. That seems to have fixed the problem, and now my clicker The button must be pressed at just the right angle and with the right amount of force for it to click on the first attempt. My vote would definitely be against a repeat Beware of purchasing this item and advising consumers to be careful.
