My dog's leash is attached to the waist pack via a carabiner, and it works perfectly for hands-free walking. I am not sure what the leash you are using is, but my leash works perfectly with my waist pack. I like to use it when I push my grandkids in their strollers.

It is what I had been looking for from a product. There is more It's amazing how well this pouch holds up! This collar fits me perfectly, and I have easy access to treats when my little Lucy starts to go cujo one day while we are out for a walk. Although I need to work harder on getting her used to other dogs, this pouch will allow me to conveniently access treats to divert her attention back to me until I can get her desensitized. In addition to my carmax, my phone, my keys, and one extra poop bag, I am able to carry an extra roll of poop bags.
