Questions & Answers

Is it possible to get a runner cable that is a little shorter?

Simply coil the excess material at the end of the run and secure it with zip ties out of the dog's reach. You won't be limited in your options if you decide to move it somewhere else (or sell it).

Is it okay for a cat to eat this?

It's not too heavy. Putting a cat on it seems strange, but I suppose it could be done.

Is this tie-out cable too much for a puppy to handle?

No way, the aluminum clip is so light that my 25-pound dog doesn't even notice she's attached.

Is there a trolley included?

That's correct.

What a fantastic purchase! This is the best run this size for the money; my dog has been using it every day for a few months and it still looks brand new
5/5

Because my dog loves to be outside but we don't have a fenced yard, this gives me some peace of mind. My dog is a GSD/Husky mix, which means he's athletic, powerful, and ALWAYS lunging and pulling on the run, but the run has held up so far and the price is unbeatable.

That appears to be the case
4/5

Setup is a breeze.   With such a small number of reviews, I was wary. My one-year-old lab/Great Dane mix, on the other hand, isn't overly fond of it at the moment. I bought this for my pet sitter to come and let him get some fresh air while I'm at work without having to leash walk him around the property the entire time for him to potty and so he can have a little freedom and peace of mind that he won't run away until we can trust him off leash (we just got him a month ago from the shelter and he has a chase critters and birds mentality and pursues and is difficult to get back) I'll update my I'll admit that the carabiner clip isn't the most durable, and I'm thinking about replacing it.

Strong enough to stand up to a large dog
4/5

So let me begin by stating that I am a 60-year-old woman. My package arrived on time, as it should, and everything was neatly placed in the box when I opened it. I am a 70 pound pitbull, so I was skeptical about the durability of this product. I didn't need any instructions because it was simple and self-explanatory. I screwed it into my house's deck and ran it to a tree out back, and it looked great once everything was tightened and ready to go, plus I could still drive a car underneath it. When this massive dog tried to chase a cow, I ran a durability test, and the line didn't budge at all! The only criticism I have is that the leash wire that connects to the dog's collar could be a foot or two longer.

It should be more powerful
3/5

It is simple to set up and use. The dog's lead, on the other hand, is much less clumsy. In less than 24 hours, my Pyrenees has chewed through almost all of it. br>I'm going to have to replace this with a heavy-duty lead. This section has left me feeling unsatisfied.

A standard poodle is insufficiently tough
3/5

The loop at the end of the line (attached to the tension bolt) pulled out of its pressed clamp after only about two months of use (potty time). This would not be an issue if the clamp was adjustable, but it is a pressed clamp. After purchasing some wire clamps, it should be possible to fix it. However, this is something that can be expected. It's a good thing I was watching my dog when it happened, because she might have run around the neighborhood.

Tie Out Runner Trolley System "75ft System" has a high self-value, high-quality materials, and is well-made
5/5

My 63lb mix (Beast) is rash, running full throttle in pursuit of the chase, as are many other dog owners. The directions are precise and easy to understand. This system allows for customization to meet the needs of the Owner and Beast (as was the case with my installation). Release the turn-key as directed. When the center of the TB center is clear and the threads are flush with the inside edge, buckle to the maximum. It will be a lot easier to install. Screw hooks were not used. That size screw hook had previously been destroyed, bent, and pulled out by the Beast. I used 2- 2 1/4" steel posts, 2" x 2" x 2" x 2" a pair of post clamps, and a pair of 2- Additional materials purchased were 2- lag nut/bolts left over from a previous fence project, 3- lag nut/bolts left over from a previous fence project, 4- lag nut/bolt 50 lb QUIKRETE Fast Setting Bags and 1 lb QUIKRETE Fast Setting Bag Wire thimble with a 1/4" diameter. Dig holes, install posts, wait 3 hours for QUIKRETE to cure, and then attach the turn-key system. Attach the raw end containing the wire thimble and wire clamps to post 1 with lag bolts (leave wire clamps loose), then attach to post 2 with lag bolts. Pull wire tight. "NOT EASY" So I removed the two post clamps from the post while keeping the hardware half tight on the wire. Much easier to tighten wire clamps off post. 3rd length adjustment and 20 minutes later the post clamp was covering 1/2" topside of 21/4" post. Now I could use my body weight to push the post clamp over the post and tighten the lag bolt. You're almost done if you buckle up all the way. Turn the knob to the right. Return the buckle to the minimum position to tighten the trolley wire to the desired level of tightness; this is a great system that you can tweak as needed.

Camping is a breeze
5/5

I was skeptical of this product at first, but we needed something cheap to take our older jack Russell camping in a tent. It lived up to expectations. The hooks clung to the trees beautifully, and the length was more than enough to keep her close to the campsite while still allowing her to explore and interact with us, our friends, and their dogs. Quick tip: Screwing the hooks deep into the tree can be difficult, so make sure you have a ratchet or something strong that can fit through the handles to ensure a tight fit. It's also possible that you'll need to adjust the line to make it more taut. This is, however, only a minor annoyance.

For a high-quality system, the price is reasonable
5/5

The dog run is very simple to assemble. After doing a lot of research, I decided to buy THIS ONE (which is funny because they're all so similar). Liked it. br>br> br>*Easy instructionsbr>*Easy to installbr>*Easier on dog's neck if they did take off at a run away from cable, the spring at the point dog cable meets run cable, rather than an end point where mostbr>*Easier to tighten (hardest part is getting the cable tight, taking up the slack so it isn't saggy) bc of the extra turn piece on br>br>I am extremely pleased with the run. I'll try to get some photos up, but I'm currently in the process of relocating. br>br>It is critical to purchase the correct size based on the weight of the dog for both large (to ensure the dog does not break any parts) and small dogs (to ensure the spring and clips are not too heavy).
