How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

This luxurious botanical shampoo cleanses, soothes, and moisturizes the skin while also reducing irritation and aiding in the healing process.
Tea tree leaf oil and eucalyptus oil from Australia work together to keep skin irritations at bay.
Aids in the healing of irritated "hot spots" on your pet's skin.
Almond oil and chamomile calm the skin, while aloe hydrates it.
Made in the United States with the same all-natural botanical extracts as our PAUL MITCHELL human brand.
It leaves a light tea tree scent on your pet's skin and hair.
In comparison to competing brands, this botanical formula is highly concentrated and requires less product.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this product on a wound that hasn't healed yet? Our veterinarian recommended tea tree oil, but the first bottle I bought said explicitly, "Do not use on an open wound." ?

I wouldn't put it on an open wound, and you just reminded me that it's not recommended to use tea tree on animals. I'm not sure where I heard it, but it's not recommended. I'm not a doctor or an expert on animals, but that's what I heard, and I'm going to remove this from my listing right now:

How much Tea Tree oil is there in the shampoo?

The bottle lists fifteen different ingredients, the first of which is water, and Tea Tree is listed fifth. I'm sorry, but that's all I have to offer.

I'm looking for a dog shampoo that won't cause eye irritation. Is this a tear-free shampoo?

I only use it on my puppies' bodies, and I use a different puppy facewash. It's gentle and doesn't irritate the eyes, thanks to the plum crazy face wash.

Is it safe for cats to use it?

I also applied it to our cat - However, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer or your veterinarian. It was a huge hit with both our dog and cat. In fact, they eagerly anticipated the "spritz" of the Tea Tree Spray after bathing in John Paul Pet Shampoo:

The solution to your dog's skin problems We went to the vet and spent over $1000 to get her skin allergies treated
5/5

We tried a variety of medications, including apoquel and shots, as well as a variety of medicated sprays and shampoos, as well as mooses prescribed by a veterinarian. With the exception of steroids, nothing worked, and the condition worsened. My son's barber recommended this, and we tried it! A barber, to be precise! It worked for her, and she hasn't had any problems since! There will be no more meds, steroids shots, or RX! This is effective! I believe the images are self-evident.

This dog shampoo is one of my favorites
5/5

When I was younger and worked in a beauty salon, I used to use Paul Mitchell products on myself, so when I saw this, I hoped it would be good - It isn't a good situation. It's absolutely wonderful. We are currently dealing with itchy dogs, and this shampoo has proven to be beneficial. The thing is, we've decided to use only this shampoo from now on because it not only smells great (no overpowering tea tree scent), but it also lathers up well with less shampoo than other shampoos we've tried and rinses out quickly and thoroughly - Our three medium to large-sized dogs usually take FOREVER to rinse shampoo out of them, and none of them enjoy baths, so this shampoo cuts bath time in half - We also don't need to use conditioner, and they're super soft afterwards! The icing on the cake is the price - Better than regular dog shampoo, and we're using less of it because it lathers so well that I don't have to use half a bottle to clean them! Sure, we're sold, and we'll keep buying. We've used it twice on each dog and are still halfway through the 16 oz bottle - As a result, it has unquestionably been of great benefit to us - We think it's fantastic!.

BEWARE OF THE BUYER! DOG SHAMPOO THAT IS COMPLETELY TOXIC! BEWARE OF THE BUYER! I had high expectations for this product, especially given the well-known brand name attached to it
3/5

What I didn't realize was that a certain HIGHLY TOXIC ingredient posed a serious health risk. THE WORST OIL IS TEA TREE OIL! My dog just returned from an expensive emergency vet visit, as you can see. He developed an infection after using this shampoo (he only used it twice). He is now on antibiotics and is in excruciating pain as a result of this shampoo. PLEASE BE AWARE OF HOW TOXIC THIS SHAMPOO CAN BE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET. I only hope that this information is useful and that you are spared the agony that my poor little fur baby is experiencing.

We are going to purchase it once more
5/5

I bought it for one itchy dog who seems to be doomed to bite, scratch, and itch his paws (is there a difference?). I'd spent a lot of money on shampoos that didn't do anything to improve his 'condition. ' He has no visible flaws on his skin that would indicate a problem. He felt better after he used this shampoo. I was told by the vet that I might need to bathe him once a week. So be it, for the sake of his well-being and mine. He was able to get by for two weeks thanks to this. We are going to purchase it once more.

For any dog owner, this is a must-have item
5/5

We have a four-month-old rottweiler puppy who enjoys getting dirty. We got him from a breeder when he was eight weeks old, and she said she feeds him John Paul Pet Oatmeal formula. Unfortunately, he was already stinky when we got him, so we went to the pet store and they didn't have the John Paul brand, so we decided to try Nature's formula oatmeal brand, which gave him the wet dog smell even though we blew him dry. So we got some wipes, which helped for a while, but then I talked to a friend, who suggested the John Paul Tea Tree formula instead. After each bath, our little puppy now smells wonderful and his coat is lustrous and soft. We still have to bathe him once a week because we live on a one-acre property and he gets into everything puppies do. It hasn't, however, dried him out in any way. His soft and lustrous coat hasn't changed.

It's alright, but it's not going to help with itchy skin
3/5

This has a pleasant scent and a good lather. It has a decent deodorizing effect. I was hoping it would help my dog's itchy skin, but after using it a couple of times, I didn't notice much of a difference. I figured the tea tree oil in the shampoo would do the trick without the oily fur we get when we apply tea tree oil directly to the backs of her legs (where she gets itchy, irritated skin). Oatmeal shampoos have worked better for us in the past. This is a good option if you want something that smells good and cleans well.

Non-toxic, fresh scent both hazardous and non-harmful The eyes of the pooches are stinging
4/5

We adore the scent it leaves on Pooch after she's had a bath with it! For humans, we use Paul Mitchel, and we know that a tea treat can deter a variety of insects and other pests, so it's a fun option. Advantages: br>br>
- It has a wonderful scentbr>- Doesn't have the same lather as othersbr>- The bottle is of a reasonable sizebr>- Bugs, fleas, and ticks are deterred (but not completely eliminated)br>- Tea tree is toxic to dogs in large amounts, but not in the trace amounts found in this and other shampoos. br>br>Cons:
- The smell does not last long enoughbr>br>Overall rating - 5/10.

Something that worked in the end
5/5

It was difficult to find a shampoo that I could trust to use on my bunny and that would prevent him from scratching himself to death. But he finally stopped itching and scratching. I tried a variety of medications, but none of them worked, and he would return to scratching, but he's back to normal now. I'm going to use the oatmeal one for the time being.
