Questions & Answers

What is the maximum number of shots you can get out of a single can?

I haven't figured it out yet, and I'm hoping I never will. 4-, on the other hand, has been "fired." So far, I've only gotten 5 short bursts out of the can, but there appears to be plenty left. Each time, the dog's barking ceased and he walked away. A barking dog behind me, according to my rule, is in attack mode. If it closes, it is given a chance. Not a warning shot, but a facefull for a dog that had actually attacked.

Is there a date on this product's shelf life? If that's the case, how far in advance do you think it'll be?

www. was the address I sent. com an email on November 10, 2014, and as of this comment, no response has been received - yet. There is no information about the shelf life or expiration date on the containers.

What makes this different from regular pepper spray? Is it only a matter of branding?

Except for the possibility of differences in product strength, it isn't. Capsaicin pepper spray and tear gas are both used by the Mace brand. I'm not sure if dogs are affected by tear gas.

Thank you for your time. What is the active ingredient in this product?

Capsaicin and Capsaicinoids are the active ingredients in chili peppers. 35%. Petroleum Distiiate 99 is found in other ingredients. 65%. I would recommend this product and carry it with us whenever we walk our dog because it works well and is effective.

THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN TESTED AND APPROVED! In our neighborhood, there is a pit bull who is free to roam and attacks my two cocker spaniels when we go for a walk
5/5

I believe it to be a young, untrained dog that is incredibly powerful! It won't leave us alone, and it keeps bumping me with its head and knocking my dogs over, scaring them. At the very least, it hasn't been overbearing; rather, it has been irritating. The dog pursues us all the way home, charging and scaring my dogs (who have both shrugged off their harnesses in an attempt to flee). ) I attempted several times to contact the city but received no response. As a result, I decided to try sprays. I started with citronella spray, which is supposed to keep dogs away. Nothing. It was fine after I emptied the entire bottle into its face; the next time, I used police-grade pepper spray. The dog didn't like it, but that didn't stop it from walking around and rubbing its face in the grass every now and then. The situation is identical. When I got home, I had completely depleted the bottle. As a result, I made the decision to give HALT a shot! When I saw that it had been recommended by postal workers, I thought it was a good idea. I've seen a lot of bite wounds on delivery people! I was ecstatic when the Halt! spray worked the first time; I sprayed a quick spray into its face from about 5 feet away, and it flew away, not following us. We ran into the dog on a different street the following week, and it gave us one look before bolting. So it got the message and now it's going to leave us alone! Now I'm confident that I'm equipped with a weapon that will keep us safe from stray dogs.

I've already used it to save my bacon
5/5

I bought this spray in the hopes of never having to use it, and in my line of work, I always go into customers' back yards and have never had anyone forget to make sure their dogs were inside until a few days ago. I didn't want to use the spray and would have preferred to use it on the dogs' owners, but, to cut a long story short, a customer forgot to bring in their un-sprayed dog. They charged me before I could get back to the gate because they were socialized (they had never allowed them to be around other people since birth). I had the spray in my pocket at all times, so I grabbed it and sprayed them both in the face, turning them around yipping and whining. The item performs admirably. I only wish some dog owners' brains were as sharp as mine. There are no excuses for the owner allowing this to occur, but I have since purchased a second bottle just in case.

SAVED ME! I rarely write reviews, but I'll make an exception for the insect repellent that saved my life
5/5

br>br>In my neighborhood, there are three large, aggressive dogs that I've been afraid of, and my worst fear was that one of them would escape. I bought this spray specifically for them, and I kept it in my pocket whenever I passed by their house. My worst fears were realized today while I was walking some dogs (which is actually my job). One of the large, frightening dogs managed to escape and charged down the street at full speed at me and the other dogs, with no intention of greeting us. When he was about 8 feet away, I sprayed him in the face with the repellent I had in my hand. He immediately slowed down, squinted, and dashed back into the room from which he had exited. I'm SO GLAD I had this repellant with me, and I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't. Even when I was in a panic, I found it to be very simple to use!.

It's all good, and it's all covered
5/5

When I walked my two smaller dogs past my new neighbors' house, their dogs were running loose in front of their house. We had an attack on our hands. In my pocket was a can of dog repellent. After yelling "Stop" at the two attacking dogs, who were now close enough to kick them, I managed to hold on to my dogs and reach into my pocket to pull out the Dog Repellent, which stopped the attacking dogs in one squirt and sent them running back to their yard with their tails between their legs. My neighbor apologized for her dogs' behavior. I keep the Dog Propellant in my pocket whenever I go for a walk with my dogs. It's all good, and it's all covered.

It's more of a deterrent than a death ray
5/5

No, a determined dog was not completely stopped by this product. Yes, it and my Aussie had an effect on the dog to the point where my leashed dog and I had to leave the sulking dog. The oblivious dog lingered long enough (5 hours) for animal control to remove it, threatening its owner with a court appearance. br>br>This is the second time I've had to use pepper spray on a dog that was attacking me. When I bought the first one from a gun store, I learned that dogs are less affected than humans. The first product was twice as expensive as HALT, but it had significantly less spray. I'm going to get a replacement HALT or two. This is something I've learned from three dog attacks in an area where leash laws are mandatory. Keep a camera or a cell phone with a camera on you at all times. Make sure the camera is set to print the date on the printout. Take pictures first, then spray when you're within 7 feet of each other. With a squirt gun, both products sprayed that far, almost like directed spray. Aim for the eyes if you want to catch someone's attention. Spraying your leashed dog is not a good idea. Unless you're a fan of pepper spray, don't get involved between the dogs. Carry a baton or stick with you if your dog is unable to defend itself. Animal control officers who deal with this type of situation on a regular basis tell me that pepper spray isn't 100% effective on dogs. It serves as a deterrent to criminal activity. A bullet is effective, but it isn't my first choice, and it isn't likely to be yours. br>br>Ignore reviewers who state that the spray failed to stop an attack. "Use this product to repel," says HALT. It does not state that it will come to an end. I bought. I was able to put it to use sooner than I had anticipated. HALT sprayed and held more than a comparable product that cost half as much. We took a step back. The attacker has been apprehended. Veni Vidi Vici is a Latin phrase that means "come and see me. " What's stopping you from giving this a five-star rating? br>br>Advantages: br>br> The dog is positively identified to animal control by the red residue. The image is of yesterday's loser, which may be difficult to see. Red nose. The left eye is closed. Taxpayers are now the ones who feed them.

I haven't used it yet, but it's something I'm carrying around with me
5/5

I haven't used it yet, but simply having it in my hand solved my problem with neighbors who let their aggressive dogs loose on our street, causing them to poop all over the place and harassing children walking home from the bus stop. She's had her dogs on a leash ever since I smiled and waved with my canister in hand.
